Did you check out the new Preview feature for the Simple Codes editor? Not only does it look cool, but there is some really advanced technology built into it (behind the scenes, of course).

For those techno-people who care about these things, the Preview feature on the Simple Codes editor sends the message text (with all the embedded formatting codes that you enter) to the server in an AJAX function call, and a web service on the LP server decodes and formats everything with HTML, and sends

Which editor (new or old) are you using for the first time the table is posted?

If you are posting a new topic, the new editor is being used. If you are posting a reply on an existing thread, I have not yet converted that editor, so replies are being done with the old editor. (For example, this reply I am making to you is being done with the old editor.)

However, the EDIT function (editing a post, whether it is a new topic or a reply) is using the NEW editor.

I know that may sound c... [ More ]

One item, I have noticed that, after posting a Table that has lines to show the grid, that when I forget something and go back, make edits and repost again, the grid lines disappear. The table stays, just no lines and sometimes, when I use colors, all the colors will revert to white again. Only thing I have noticed about the editor.

Thanks for a great site

Sir Metro

Hi Todd.

Thanks for the upgrades you've made to this site. I'm always pleasantly surpised

that you don't just sit back after buliding an already impressive site. You leave your

laurels behind and continue to upgrade.

The website even with all of its functions and creative uses is so, so user-friendly,

streamlined, and comprehensive. The membership more than pays for itself over and over.

Thanks again Todd for giving us a place where we can all learn, and share.

I just implemented more significant upgrades to the editor, so please let me know if you experience any bad effects, or if you just have some feedback.

I added the Simple Codes editor (non-rich text) into the new pages, so those who have the Rich Text option un-checked in their board settings will see the simple editor again.

I also made some significant changes to the Simple Codes editor, in providing a fairly sophisticated Preview feature, and making it much easier to edit old posts wi... [ More ]
