Efado, you can use the external program Wheels database manager found in your start menu->Lotto Architect folder to manipulate the wheel databases as you wish. The freeware/donaware version of Lotto Architect comes with a limited set of wheels to reserve download bandwidth. Well, I have to give a brief overview of the whole program's idea. A ticket listing is what holds the output of wheels or filtering operations. There are 3 distinct ticket listings in the program, each for every calculation stage (1,2,3). The idea now is that once you have produced a ticket listing with either of those 3 stages, you can use it as the source for the following filtering operations. 1-Rejection filters' design field I have Draw filters selection

What I choose in Area and what I choose in Filter.

2- After you create filter and when to go to another field you have this prompt on yopur screen

Modifications will be lost, proceed? In this case what I do? click on YES or NO

3-Where I put my 38 favorits numbers?

4-Where I ckeek to see the final tickets after use filters?

Jacques... when you say and i am quoting: Sum of Digits what do you mean? you mean the inner digits or the outer digits? the starting digits or the ending digits?It will be wonderfull if a software can do ending digits Sum, i think that's where one of the Keys to hitting the lotto is...

I believe more lethal would be to build an abbreviated wheel from the ground up, using certain Constraints/Guidelines/Parameters , than to apply filters to a full wheel...

efado If i were you and you really wanted to hit the lotto big, (i think you are talking a pick5), i would go for Win for life here in the States or FL Mega money, if i was going to wheel 38 numbers...Because is not worth wheeling 38 numbers for all other pick5 games, except those two: Win for Life FL Mega MOney....If i was going for Win for life i'll wheel the most 30 numbers and 35 numbers for Mega money (if i could, but even so i'll still go with 30), 38 numbers is simply too much...And is... I've never thought of the games laid out on a square grill because I've played MegaMillions and PowerBall in several States and each state had a different lay out so their card couldn't be used in another state with the same game. Ohio uses a 8x7 grill on its MM card and Indiana uses a 9x7 grill on its PB card with 8 empty spots on the 9th line. Thanks for the explantion.

These filter categories are based on the layout of the lottery coupon. The first (outer) group consists of the numbers that form the outer border of the block of numbers on the coupon, while the second (inner) group contains the remaining numbers that lie within this perimeter. Lotto players have a tendency to play perimeter edge patterns, which can be eliminated or included.

The Horizontal and Vertical filters are basically symmerical matrix filters for an N ball lottery,.A square... [ More ]

What do filters like(Horizontal, Vertical and Outter Inner) do? Filters like(Odd/Even, Sum of Digits, Consecutive, Pairs, Triples and History) are self explanatory.

I misread ,you wanted the configuration for the Mega Millions as mentioned. The Megamillions bonus ball matrix is 1/46 and not 1/43 as RJoh incorrectly stated in his previous message. The fix has taken only two minutes with a full wheel number crunch giving you less than 6K lines to play.

You can further reduce your megamillions line set with other filters like (Odd/Even, Width, Sum of Digits,Horizontal,Vertical, Consecutive, Outt... [ More ]

Now that help has arrived, looks like you're on your way. MegaMillions has had 107 drawings since it changed to a 5/56+1/46 matrix, have you checked those results against your parameters/filters to see how many would have been eliminated? Even if you're left with a small list to play and the winner is eliminated, what is the point? Good luck to you.

Which commercial lottery software do you use?

I have written numerous syndicate programs using C++, Visual Basic and Excel, however these are not currently available for distribution.

There are many excellent public domain lottery software available for strategy configuration such as your application. I would urge you to purchase (if you haven't done so already), one of the many superior programs. You can review users comments on this forum to get a general opinion.

It's generous of you to offer your programmer skills for free. Which language do you use? I learned GWBasic when I was young and never got around to learning a more advanced language as well. The solution I suggested for efado's project wouldn't require much memory and only a few lines of code using that language and probably would require even less using a more advanced language.

I do programming.. I can do it for free if you want. I don't believe in the specific methodology but I wrote a program for my system. Are you running Windows XP? Is this for Powerball or Mega Millions?

Would you really use all those combinations on one drawing?

Alternately you could use a program that does a quick pick and then checks if the #s are within those parameters, or a text file with all the combinations.
