I agree.

There seems to be a lot of progress being made by a lot of people on the predictions page. Each seems to be following his own road and cowtrail trying to find Rome, and maybe the Pantheon and cheers from the crowds in the Collesium where those gladiators are piercing and gutting one another is reaching the eyes and ears of a few.

Seems like there's no one size fit all when you're playing different but similar type lotteries. For example I usually avoid 3 or more adjacent numbers when picking combinations but that rule can more often than not eliminate a winner when playing the WV Cash25. The only way you'll ever know what works best is to try a lot of different things and keep a list of what worked. At least now you have some ideas about what works better for some of the lotteries you play.

Yeah, I don't do pick 4s, myself. Nor Pick 3s.

I just noticed things aren't looking too badly prediction-wise on my end. I picked for 9 lotteries. Two aren't in yet, but $440 Imaginary US in wagers and $400 in wins. Two 4 of 5s on Indiana put me in sight of breaking even for the day.

Maybe I'll get appointed onto the staff of Gen'l Charlie McCarthy.

I've got some sad news for you double-digit predictors this morning.

Lottery aircraft from the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere caught our entire fleet sleeping in at Pearl Harbor yesterday. Those of us who were alive mostly woke up dead.

LottoMike evidently had a couple of tin-cans and a cruiser, or two somewhere unexpected. He fared the best of any of us. $2650 Imaginary US in wagers, $690 Imaginary US in wins.

I also liked the SuperLottoPlus(6/49+1), I even matched 5of6 before it was replaced. I don't play Lot'O Play because my program only work with sixty numbers but I do record the five numbers/characters of Lot'O Play in a text file just in case I decide to revise my program to handle a hundred numbers. Well I have just learned something, when you work a strategy and everything looks pretty good, don't try to improve it at that point. The first workout that I did looked real good but I thought I would try to improve on it and messed it all up and then couldn't get back to the original combinations because I didn't save them. I have posted for the Match 6 PA, I plan on posting number for the UK 6/49 for Saturday, it's not easy to find a lotto that uses mechanical ball drop.

Padawan, you are doing the right thing for a fair 6/49 test. No one will be able to quibble over your (or EL's) results.

The actual payouts on the WV Cash 25 are so poor that I'm surprised the game is still around. Great idea but the state got greedy I guess. State lotteries all seem to make that a focal point of their charter...lose customers at all costs.

I enjoy the status but I really want to test EL where it counts. It's a shame that Ohio no longer has a 6/49 and I live to far away from WV to play for real although, since the Cash 25 went from being drawn twice a week to being drawn 4 times a week the payouts have dropped in value, a 5 of 6 = $250, 4 of 6 = $10, and 3 of 6 = $1. Working with 6/49 maybe I can put a mil on the board.

I agree about Derek7...he's the horse to watch. Pulling those two 5 of 6's with 5 predictions is a feat to behold. Probably one of the best accomplishments at predicting here at LP, although Tntea's Keno win still has the reign. He's got only 3 picks up for today...watch out.

Hopefully some of the people who feel moved to buy the EL software will take the next step toward testing the capabilities of it here.

Padawan's demonstrated it's a spectacular success when it's used by him for one game. It satisfies the claims Jacques made here within the confines of these relatively narrowly defined conditions.

That's good enough, if that's all we get. Padawan's broken new ground in just performing the test in a public setting.

The only problem with using the profit ratio results in the WV Cash25 game is that it is an unusual game (6/25 and the only one of its kind in the country) and the payouts are different here at LP than in real life.

You can't compare apples to apples except to compare the stats on WV pick 6 games. Padawanlotto is still doing well in that department. In that analysis we ARE comparing apples to apples.

The truth is most commercial lottery software is general written to cover many lotteries to appeal to the most customers (one size fit all), at best they are only a tool. Many of the same things can be done using a spreadsheet program and text files as Padawanlotto suggested. I prefer to use a program I wrote myself using GWBasic because I know how it works and I can make changes to it when ever I come up with some better ideas. I started predicting the WV Cash25 too, but it hasn't improved my predictions statistics as much as I thought, it's not that easy to get a 4of6 or better even in that game.

Being from Dayton,OH I'm guessing you're also testing EL on the Rolling Cash5 which has rolled to $301,000 for today's jackpot. How are you doing with that game? I always spend a little extra when it gets that high. Good luck to you.

I have been working with the Ohio Rolling Cash 5 which is a 5/39 and have not been able to do very well using EL's WN history filter. The Winning Numbers History filter is the signature strategy of Expert Lotto and it does have potential and this is the strategy that I have been using. The other analysis that EL offers can be devised into any personal strategy that anyone wants to pursue. Download a copy of EL from their website www.expertlotto.com , and then read the manual carefully. Needless to say practise til perfection.

The discussion board is a must read, again learn from the experiences of other users. There is an examples section in the manual which pretty much covers the essential features of the program, also serves as a good guideline.

I would suggest the forum in the first instance, as an excellent place to share (exchange) ideas with other lotto players.

The opportunities to zero in on a meaningful prize are ever present, I believe it's a matter of mastering the EL toolkit. The software

keeps evolving at quite a pace, with new features such as Trend Predictor and WN History(2), to keep all but the timid happy.

Success on the prediction board should only be use as a guide because real lotteries continue to make money everyday in spites how these systems do on the prediction board.

There's only one winning system being used on the prediction board that anyone is admitting to. And one player using it.

For that matter, even if there are hundreds of systems being used on the prediction board, the only one that's getting ahead and staying ahead is this one.

I agree with PadawanLotto that Expert Lotto is no more than a tool and winning a 6/49 game is harder. The flaw in proving how well a pick6 system works using the prediction board is that all pick6 games are treated the same with same payouts thus a match3 pays $5, a match4 pays $100 and a match5 pays $1500 which is about normal for a 6/49 game.

West Virgina pays $1 for match3, $10 for a match4 and $250 for a match5 because the odds of winning the jackpot of its 6/25 game are 1:177,100 rather... [ More ]

Everything from a monkey-wrench, to mathmatics, to a Model 1911 Colt, to metaphysics is a tool, limited in potential by the skills, talents and techniques of the human users.

I doubt anything has ever been discussed on this medium as a means of trying to win lotteries could escape being a tool, whiggle, squirm and growl though it might.

Working with a 6/49 takes a lot of time that I don't have. Anyone can get good results with the WV Cash 25 using a spreadsheet and a good wheel. As for the combinations that I post they are the results of a filter break down starting from all possible combinations in the Cash 25 game, I use no wheels, there are no hit/match guarantees. I like the way that Expert Lotto's WN History filter leaves combinations for consideration, you know that you are getting close when the combinations flow nicely... [ More ]

And I guess you can't expect the same results when the software is being used on a 6/48 or 6/49 lottery.

This system appears be doing precisely what Jacques, the guy from Expert Lotto who posted on another thread describing the capabilities of the system, claimed it could do.

Small, consistent wins and a positive prize/wager ratio.

This won't cause anyone to bark, or stand on his hind legs and want to shake hands, but it's a testimony to the virtues of protracted testing on the prediction board as a means of proving, or disproving claims about lottery systems.
