			<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi<br /><br />Thank you zealot and SirMetro, as you can tell I do not know that much about<br /><br />writing programs or formulas. But I am going to give it a try. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>Well, the simple part is FIRST, you must break the numbers into their individual components (Pick 3 is 3 parts, Pick 4 is 4 parts)<br /><br />This can be done with these 3 formulas<br /><br />D2 =SUM(1*(LEFT(C2,1)))<br /><br />E2 =SUM(1*(MID($C2,2,1)))<br /><br />F2 =SUM(1*(MID($C2,3,1)))<br /><br />The (1*) converts the text to a number without fancy data formating. This will only work as a macro, if you are writing VBA, you will have to format the data.<br /><br />**********************<br /><br />Then simply add up the data<br /><br />Group sum is<br /><br />R2=sum(D2:F2</p>]]></description>
