my personal goal is 50,000 posts

by then my baby will be grown and he can get over here on the keyboard when i get tired.maybe then we can look back at the good 'ol days when the powerball matrix was only 5/75,lol

Who dosn't go on an ego trip once in a while, hell, even I do sometimes...the trick I guess is to control it before it gets out of hand, before you forget your really here to help people realize a dream we all share.

I like seeing people pm me or posting on my topic that they won a nice chunk of change because of my #'s. Usually Im sharing in there excitement becuz I've won right along with them...Has more value then posting a bunch of useless posts that benefits no one but yourself.... [ More ]

I didnt vote on this. I think it's great that people have alot of posts on here but I think it's even a greater achievement to help out others in this game. I didnt read all the reply's in this post but I will later and I hope those that have the highest number of posts dont take this the wrong way. Alot of work goes into it.

LOL. We're on different levels here.

I got something like 450 posts and has been here for One and a half year. I am looking forward to celebrate my 600th post probably before new years eve.

I don't feel like posting useless posts just to increase my total post volum like some seems to do. Then I would feel stupid.

Whenever a new Pick-6 system or software comes along or a discussion on new pick-6 methods appear I post more often. In the meantime it slows down a bit.

Everyone, I have one other goal in mind besides keeping my top 50 poster status: surpass an ID name with 2297 posts that currently has guest [not available] status. I don't care about how many posts I make [Quantity], 2298+ posts is my next goal I have to achieve. I only done this for just over 1 year to get this much quantity.

Most usefull

The largest number of posts are not in the latter catagory but I can't claim not to fall into some of the above posts once in while.

I didn't not vote either.. I dont count how many posts I post.. It doesn't matter if it I am top poster or not. I enjoy predicting numbers.. I enjoy winning.. and I enjoy reading posts of others...(offering encouragement and so forth.. )

some people like cash only will celebrate when they hit 10,000 posts.i know he posted the achievement.if that makes him happy more power to him.i'm pretty close to ten thousand myself.it won't change my life any but its a cool milestone to hit.lottery post is a fun place.i don't think todd envisioned anyone having a problem with the top 100,50 and 25 poster things.its like jack said a way to see how long a person has been here......

Sometimes, Orangeman, life's a mysterious place. Evidently it DOES matter to some, though the issue had never come up in my mind before.

I find the rankings on the posts to be a semi-(maybe 2/3) useful means of establishing at a glance whether the member is a newcomer, or an old-timer I haven't noticed before. But a close look at the number of posts would tell it almost as easily. The badge and ranking are just larger and don't require a second glance.

I truly don't understand the big deal about being a top 100, 50, 25 or whatever poster. How and why did this become a goal to attain? Personally, I think Todd should drop the top poster thing all together. Then the quality level may raise a notch or two.

Nothing hard about being a member. I just come and post when I feel like it, do my research with the tools available.

I do not pay attention to how many post I make or what rank I am.

I do look at the views in my blog and forum postings I start . Just to see if it is worth my time to blog or post. No interest no post.

No replies on forum postings. no post.

You make a very good point. Frankly, I'm rather surprised that more members haven't weighed in on this issue. Personally, I started feeling more than a little bit uneasy when I noticed a few months ago that I had broken into the ranks of the Top 100 posters. I knew right then that it was time for me to back off the keyboard. As MADDOG10 says, it's about quality, not quantity.
