Thanks for the thread, BobP.

I recall some discussion about this a long while back, but at the time I didn't have whatever it would have taken to get a closer look.

I've just downloaded it. All the discussion on this thread got me interested, whether it's helpful for lottery numbers, or not.

Gracias,

Jack

Thanks Raven. That's a lot of work for what looks to be somethng that won't work for me....especcially after reading the year-old thread where the author of the software was involved. He seemed pretty emphatic that the program was not going to be able to predict lottery numbers, and couldn't since he believes the lotteries are truly random.

Everything has patterns including RNGs, so whatever results can be achived with Ball Drawn Numbers can also be achived with RNG Drawn Numbers. The VRA Program does not discriminate between Ball Drawings or RNG Drawings.

If you haven't done so already you should review the thread on VRA from a year ago or so as well as the website. In the VRA thread on LP you will find comments from the Author of VRA:

VRA Thread

PS: VRA was not designed to be used for predicting Lottery Numbers, in fact... [ More ]

Badger's problem is he want to do trend prediction on computer generated numbers.

The Visual Recurrence Analysis Tools has been created to predict patterns in physical behavior of machines (I believe).

I think the program might be useless for RNG software.

Their are 2 ways to create a P3/P4 Database for VRA use.

Method #1:

One Combination per row with each Digit separated by a space (ex: 1 2 3).

Method #2:

One Digit per row with a separate file for each Position (ex: P3D1.csv 1, P3D2.csv 2, P3D3.csv 3)

In both Methods the Database should be Sequenced from Oldest to Newest.

Since we are interested in tomorrows numbers today the most used VRA Function is the Predict Function.

I take it by containers you mean ball machines?

Problem: in Wisconsin, all games (P3 and P4 as well as the three jp games) are all computer generated. Therefore, there are no machines/containers.

So I wonder how one creates a database for that

In regards to P3 and P4, I think you need to predict each of the numbers separately, since they all use their own containers.

When we tested the software last year, we run predictions for all numbers on P5 and P6 since they're all drawn in the same container.

You feed the program with at least 500 numbers drawn so it got enough data to find the trends.

Hope that help somewhat.

I have been planning to try some further tests on the Visual Recurrence Analysis Tool to see if it is able... [ More ]

It's very visually impressive, I'll say that. But it looks as if one has to be a rocket scientist in order to run it properly and understand its output.

I wonder if it would apply to the Daily games (P3 and P4) where the draws are more than two digits long?

I see paurths has mentioned that it is not for predicting drawn numbers as much as it is for predicting trends. But how would one use it for deciding on the numebrs then

I remember it did hit 3 numbers correct once in a while. If it was able to do that often enough, you could play 20 or 30 lines or more with the same numbers and win quite a lot anyway.

Hi Bob,

about a year ago some here, including me, have been trying it out: https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/113989

The software is amazing and very fast, and it showed the trends, but the winning numbers did not come out.

I remember that the author of the program even came to LP to post that it was totally not created for that purpose, but it would indeed show trends.

cheers

Ricky
