I think Mega Millions may get over $200 million this run, simply to make up for its lucky string of winners lately. Luck goes both ways.

I would seriously doubt both will go over 200. Odds are neither will. I've given up on Mega for now but it would be nice if Powerball could clear the $250 mark so I can get tickets. The trip would be more expensive though due to the high price of diesel right now. ($3.5/gal

With Powerball's back loaded annuity, it's very possible the next record PB jackpot might be between $365 million and $390 million, in which case there's no match 5 bonus pool but the cap still increases.

Well, I was proven half right. There were twice as many second place winners as statistically expected, but nobody hit the jackpot. I think the saving grace was that the powerball number was not the largest number of the six.

Considering the numbers that were drawn, I think the jackpot will be $15 million for Saturday, and it's very possible there is more than one jackpot winner. The numbers: 10-13-16-19-24 and 15 for powerball. I also wouldn't be surprised if there was another high second prize payout as well. I, myself, however, did not hit a single number :-(.

We need _either_ MM or PB to be big at any given time. The most recent MM win came at a bad time because PB is about to get hit.
