Don't most of the regular state lotteries offer better odds on their 6 number games, and for a progessive prize?

I would look at this proposed game as not even trying to hit the jackpot at 201 million to one odds, and yeah, going for the second prize above, but 6/49 - 6/ 52 games are beter odds.

Doesn't mean peole would play this though, there is a certain contingent that would play anything.

Looks like the Ohio SuperLottoPlus game with 75 numbers instead of 49 that was replaced with Lot'O Play last year.

SLP couldn't survive with a $4,000,000 starting jackpot, paying $10,000 for a 5+1 and paying $1 for a match 3 with overall odds of 1 in 53.6. How would this game support itself with less than 50% payouts and what would be the starting jackpot?

I look for Ohio to replace Lot'O Play with a newer version of SLP with a lower starting jackpot later this year or early next year.... [ More ]
