I usually watch the MegaMillions game closer because it played in Ohio, but I maintain a file on PowerBall too, so what ever I do with the MM file I can do with the PB file too.

Looks like bitrunner was right tonight, only the number 15 had been drawn in the last 11 drawings, the rest hadn't been drawn in 18 drawings or more.

I'm glad I didn't play, I woulda got killed - the ONLY number I had was the PB (5) - but that's why I skipped this game.

MM I'm clueless.

PB - I would expect 3 of the numbers to come from the first 3 games, whereas 2 months ago I would not have thought that so much.

I can handle having 5 numbers to choose from in the prior 3 games each, and I can handle some singles (10-12), it's the lack of ANY 4-number games, and the shortage of 3-number and 2-number games that buck my 'systems', I don't have the choices I need to pick the way I am used to picking.

Actually since the last MegaMillions matrix change, there have been 133 MegaMillions drawings and 60% of all the numbers drawn have been in the previous 11 drawings and in 12% of those drawings all 5 numbers were in the previous 11 drawings which includes last night drawing of which all 5 winning numbers had been in the previous 5 drawings. During those 133 drawings there were two drawings which didn't have a number from the previous 11 drawings and they were on 08/30/05 and 07/12/05. Usually... [ More ]

What scares me is I can't decide if we will have a game like the 8/16 game, or the 5/31 game. Or something in-between.

We are 'due' for a game like 5/31, but everything is aligned for a game like 8/16........

It will be interesting if it comes out that way,,,,In this last MM draw all 5 white balls were repeaters of the last 9 draws with 3,45,55 repeating twice in the last 9 draws. This created a unsually high number of balls repeating twice in a 9 draw average (5)...Usually it's 2 or 3....

PB has met its 9 draw average of repeating numbers in the last 8 draws....anything that repeats on this draw will be above its average......you may be correct,,,

25 of the balls have not hit within the last 11 games. Therefore, I think there will be a high proportion of these balls hitting in this draw and perhaps in 1 or 2 future draws. And of the balls that hit within the past 11 draws, they will have hit just once.

Megamillions typically ranges between 17 and 21 balls not hitting in the last 11 draws, so I would expect the same range to hold for powerball.

Too many options for the 9/30 game, so I'm keeping my money in my wallet.

IF I was playing (and I may change my mind....) I'd be playing:

WB - 2-3-5-9-12 - 16-19-21-22-24 - 41-44-45-49-50

PB - 11-38, then 5-6-34.

So let's see if me not playing does a reverse jinx on me.
