PLaying responsibly also means remaining within a budget that doesnt hinder the nessities of life. Food water warmth shelter and good health. Beyond that its a personal choice of how much to spend.

I stay within a budget and play the games that way. If the price did go up my budget wouldnt change...just the amount of play games per drawing.

Ohioans already made a similar decision a year and a half ago when Ohio got rid of the SuperLotto game (6/49+1) which was $1 per ticket and replaced it with Lot'O Play (5/100) which was $2 per tickets. Ohio responded three weeks ago by getting rid of Lot'O Play and replacing it with the revised Classic Lotto (6/49) which sells for $1 per ticket.

i don't think the price should go up but the prize it has been 41 for a box for more then 30 years now in Mi. i mean some place give u more for winning there but i think 50 is good. i was out the other day and found a place the paid 700 on a str if u hit there.i wish i could hit one there.

I've already cut back what I spend in Florida because I can play the AU games online for half the price at better odds, but smaller prize, though large enough to solve all my problems money can cure. BobP

Quit. The odds are so high to begin with, and to pay more money, and not win anything worth while, would be a kill joy. I'm just looking at my 1.00 win from the nylotto drawing from last night. I'm ready to throw in the towel on all the lotteries.

Right ! But since Lottomike didn't say anything in the poll question about the prize amounts, I voted I would quit. It's already ridiculously hard to maintain a profit with the small payout odds.

if they pump the price of a ticket up they better pump up the payouts too.

don't count on them changing pick 3 and 4 games this way.

the payout structure fits the dollar amount they currently charge.

Pick 5 games can be structured almost any way they seem fit but again the payout structure is designed around the bet amount based on one dollar.

Absolutely not, I quit playing the lottery..I may talk about it but that's it..I don't think the price of the lottery should change ever...It should always remain 1 dollar or 50 cents..

More important than winning all the states's lotteries is the movie Red Planet ..

I answered NO - Quit but this is based on an assumption that the PRIZE REMAINS THE SAME. Right now it's 50c for a Pick 3 STR, which has a 1/1000 chance of avg. $250, or a 50pct. return of the money put in (ignoring systems, algorithms etc.) which is already a huge challenge. I would keep buying tickets if the prize went up that much percentage or higher, it would be like making me have to play the number twice every time but I'd win twice as much. Otherwise, no deal
