On second thought, If I won the lottery, I'd sign a deal on a major network to do a show about me - starring me - 5-6 episodes a year.

The catch is, *I* would retain 100% absolute control - Directing and Producing - what I cut is what goes on TV - I retain ALL creative control. Why ? Because I can, they need me (ratings) more than I need them, and I want to do a series that REALLY shows how things go, this would absolutely NOT be an ego trip.

If I won, the world will know how much I won an... [ More ]

The possibilities are wide open not just limited to the ones above. If you were at all interested in starting your own production company it could be a great starting point to learn the ropes. Keep control and maybe be productive and make more MONEY! I can think of a lot of copy cat scenarios with the lotto twist such as a Apprentice type show where the loto winner might pick his assistant or his team? Maybe QUEER EYE FOR THE RICH GUY. Good luck to everyone.

I agree 100% with this, Floyd, especially on the pay.

I certainly couldn't stomach a quack like Dr. Phil or should I say, Dr. Oprah?

But if I was to hit the MM on Tuesday night, I would ask for $50 million minimum...that way you could afford to make some stupid decisions and make the show popular. And if people are that interested, the networks would make that on advertising easily anyway.

Not a fan of reality shows so I wouldn't watch. It doesn't sound too interesting. The fun part for me is all about getting the right numbers, that's the challenge, the drama, the contest! After you win it, well.....you spend it or save it or give some away,we all know that.

Why would any body spend their own money to be somebody clown? If someone wanted to produce such a show then he/she should have a sweepstakes with a jackpot of $10M or more with the understanding that the winner would also have to participate in a reality show about his/her life as a jackpot winner. That way if it flopped, the only loser would be the clown that came up with this idea.

100 grand for giving up your privacy for an entire year??? Are you KIDDING???!!! You should get at least half a million, probably more like 2 million. Even Paris' little nobody friend, Nicole, made millions just from tagging along on that reality show. And IIRC they only shot for a couple months.

The winner would obviously have to make some extremely poor choices. Agreeing to be on a show like that would be a choice so bad it would make Jack Whittaker look like a sensible genius. Still, if I win the lottery I might consider it if the price is right. If Iwin less than a million bucks I'd probably do it for 100 grand a year. If I pocket the $120 million net on Tuesday night I'd want at least $50 million to do it.

If somebody could make the show, though, it would be a huge hit.

The winner would have to have either pizzazz or make extremely poor choices. As sad as Jack Whitaker's story is, I think that many people are intrigued by his life post-win. So come up with a colorful, irresistable winner, or one that's going to make a mess of everything.

I don't think it would succeed with a run-of-the-mill couple who sees bowling as a night out on the town.

I wouldn't watch a Dr Phil type show nor read a money magazine article. Seen those before. Not familiar with Jim Cramer.

However, I probably would watch a reality show. I'd LOVE to see a winner with a dysfunctional family, maybe one who's not very close to their family, deal with them after a huge win. I'd volunteer, but y'all would be bored cuz when I win there's going to be no drama and we all know the American public won't watch a show when things are going well.... [ More ]

What would the appeal be for the public to watch or read about a new winner turning his ticket in and then be followed for the next few months or even years? Showing family, shopping, travel, lawyers, financial planing, drama, etc. I not asking for a debate on the issues for remaining anonymous. It would take a special individual with a plan of some sort to want to do this. Would you watch Jim Cramer of Mad Money fame do a show with the winner? Would you read MONEY magazine if they had a monthly... [ More ]
