Well, next time I can't get the information I need on their site, maybe I should send an email to let them know I had to go to Lottery Post to find it! I did send an email when the site was down all the time, saying that it worried me that it took so long to post the results. Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I really thought it was automatically generated after the drawing. Maybe I'm not the only one. I didn't realize a human posted the information. Absolutely correct. It kinda bugs me that there is such a weak link in the chain (a human being!), but when something is working well most of the time and it doesn't cost much (a few minutes of time each day), it tends to get little attention, and little desire by management to throw money at it.

The lotteries should hire me to act as their technical specialist to work with GTECH and/or Scientific Games (whichever is in their state) to develop a bullet-proof automated system for communicatin... [ More ]

Edit: You just cleared up a lot of questions for me, Todd, since I thought the posted results, including the locations and whether or not they were quickpicks, were from their central computer. This explains the numerous errors I've noticed for years.

All info you see on the lottery web sites was entered by a human being at some point. I believe the FL Lottery web site is run by an outside agency, so I do not think there is a direct data link to the FL Lottery central computers.

In fact, I think it would be a security problem for lotteries to connect their web sites directly to their central databases.

That being said, a smart design would have results and prize info for web, phone, press releases, etc. all derived from the same source... [ More ]

Thanks, Todd. Yes, I did delete it. Since s5thomps was kind enough to answer me, I was going to post it again, but you saved me the trouble. My original post listed some previous payouts and said there must be a zero missing. Still, isn't this computer generated? It makes me wonder if I should rely on the information from their web site. Unfortunately, I only got 3 numbers which pays $5.00! At least this week I got some of my money back.

Yes They made a mistake on the website. If you call the phone number on the back of your ticket, It should be $7550.00
