if the minimum jackpot is doubled to 30 million and ALL of the lower tier prizes were doubled (400k for 5+0 down to $6 for 0+1) then I might play for $2, but definitely less frequently. and if the powerplay would be $2 more then they would have to put in the numbers x7,x8,x9,x10 instead of the x2,x3,x4,x5 and occasional 10 now.

If they raise the ticket for MegaMillions or PowerBall to 2 dollars this would mean more money for schools and i am in for that...

Maybe you didn't know, but buying lottery tickets is voluntary. If you think a $2 ticket is too expensive then don't buy any.

Even if they actually came here and paid attention it wouldn't do any good. Too many of you have already posted about buying multiple $20 tickets for raffles, so they know you'll spend more than another dollar on tickets. The only question is what they'd offer for the extra $1. Without knowing that the question is basically meaningless.

No. I already do that with the multiplier for MM. I play twice (about $4.00 a draw) a week for years now. If they were to raise the price to two dollars I would only buy tickets for large jackpots.

I want to say no, but to be honest I probably just wouldn't play as often.

I live in a Mega Millions state and thus far this year of all my Mega Millions tickets (38) I've hit 14 numbers, of those 14, once it 1 = 1 for a screaming $3.

If you consider 6 numbers on each ticket as one huge ticket (counting the Mega as just another number) 38 X 6= 228. So that's one ticket with 228 numbers on it.

14 for 228 = .061, not a real fantastic batting average.

In MD. MultiMatch is $2 a play. Bonus Match 5 is $2.00 for three plays. In D.C. DCdaily6 is $1.00 FOR 2 plays. I don't play MultiMatch for that very reason, $2 a play for more lower tier prizes is a rip. I know MD. is probably disappointed with the response on Multi Match cause the pot grows so slowly. Nobody I know likes it, whadda gonna do? Don't play the $2 games, of course if no one plays them they'll go away. Power to the people! Viva la Revolucion

No I wouldn't pay 2 bucks per-line! I don't do power play when playing powerball now. So why in the world would I pay twice as much per-line to play a game that has odds that are stacked so high against me as it is? I wouldn't. A dollar a line is a fair price, but two dollars is just plain greedy.

yes i would pay $2 for a ticket and $4 for a powerplay on the ticket. i really hope they dont read LP and then raise the price now,haha. $2 or $4 to become a multimillionaire is still a really good thing but im happy that it is $1 for now and i have my tickets for the powerball tonight and i paid for powerplays since the 10x is up for grabs all month normally i dont powerplay unless its my personal number i chose not a quickpick...

I said maybe in that it would only have to apply to Mega offering the megaplier in all states...so like I sometimes will pay $2 to powerplay my Powerball ticket...I would do the same with Mega. But to pay $2 just for the single line of numbers...No way...unless that increase in ticket price is accompanied by a decrease in the matrix...say from 1 - 56 to 1 - 50 (then I could use fifty state combos) for the field of 5 and from 1 - 46 to 1 - 40 for the Mega Ball. I do pay $2 per ticket, but that's to get the PowerPlay. But if it were to go up to where $2 was for a regular ticket and $4 for the PowerPlay, no I probably wouldn't play except when the jackpot got over 80 million or so.
