some people look down on lottery players and wont give them money to play in a pool but if they ever win they will be the first ones with their hands out like they deserve money or you owe them just because you didnt work 50 years at a regular job to earn the millions you won in a lottery. i wont have a problem saying no to most people when my jackpot time comes around...

I hear ya ... It can cost alot of money to backtest new systems, not to mention your time and efforts ...and to just freely hand over your reward to others when you finally win isnt fair at all.... its disgraceful on their part to even ask.... if they have the (CENSORED) to ask, then you should have the (CENSORED) to say Go to hell!

I wouldn't even say that. I'd say no thank you and i'd move on. People think just because you won the lottery, its your responsibilty to give them some money. Well I have news for them and anyone trying to part with my dough. If you didn't give me any money to play or help with my system prior to winning, don't expect me to give you anything because I am not giving it. If I were to win a large some of money, I wouldnt say,do or promise anything until I spoke to an attorney,CFA and CPA and had all my finances in order. That alone will keep the wolves away. I would just say to anyone who was asking for money... If your idea appeals to me, my people will contact you. ..keeping it professional.

i think i would do a show it just depends on when they wanted to do it because i would want to be able to pick when they start filming the movie.

I would not mind doing a TV Show if I won, but I would produce it, I would direct it, I would write it, I would edit it, and somebody else would pay for it. But I would have 100% control over it or I would not do it. Period.

With all of my requirements, I'd say it would never get done because nobody would ever agree to my requirements.

I know that there won't be a show about happy lives, and I wouldn't even watch it if there was. It'd be too boring.

I was just trying to make a point of how so many people are always telling me that money doesen't buy you happiness. If it wasn't bad enough that people around me say this, now we have shows about how a bunch of irresponsible people making really bad decisions, bring themselves down. The producers love the dirty laundry aspect of it, and that's how they make their money.

I wish they had a show on all of the winners who are living their lives without problems. Wow...what a concept.

One of the reasons that some lottery winners do well and don't end up broke or in the news is because they don't have ego problems and aren't stupid enough to cooperate with somebody who might want to do a TV show about them. If somebody wants to make money by producing a show about people who came into a lot of money and handled it well they have better choices than doing one abo... [ More ]

i have asked my friends and family for years to form a lottery pool with me and they always decline and tell me im wasting my money. one friend actually said, i wont give you any money to buy tickets but ill help you spend it. im sure i will bring that comment up to him after i win the lottery and if he finds out that i won and asks me for money ill refresh his memory that he chose not to add any money and he had a snide remark to follow...

I know how you feel! My family don't contribute any type of money to play the lottery with me, BUT they are quick to say well when you win, I know I will be taken care of... How crazy is that... My reply to them is always, I will give you what you gave me to play ! ... there are some I would definitley take care of., but not because they conned me out of it. I have two uncles who are millionaires. I don't expect to ever see a penny of that money. They earned it. And even in hard times, all I really ask for is advice...not money.

It goes to show you the true colors of people, even family members. I know this because my immediate family constantly puts me down for playing the lottery. But guess what....If I win millions they'd be the first to want some. They didn't spend the time and energy invoved but still want to reap what I have sowed.

It's not so much that I wouldn't take care of my family and some friends, but I would definitley make them earn it, considering the hassle they gave me prior to my winning the jackpo... [ More ]

LOL! pacattack I can always count on you to sum up the way I feel. I learned a few years back to say "NO." I got a settlement a few years ago. It wasn't what you would call money. Just a few thousand. It was only enough to pay off a few things and put money down on a house. But my family didn't know what I got so they started giving me every pitiful story they could come up with to try to con me out of some. They were lying. I saw it too, but weeks ago.

I didn't like the show because they continually made the effort to make the viewer feel as though this might happen to you. Everyone is different.

I wish they had a show on all of the winners who are living their lives without problems. Wow...what a concept.

I think my anger in all this stems from repeatedly being told over and over by people who keep ranting that tired old phrase, like Mina birds, just saying what they hear without using their brain first... [ More ]

When I woke up yesterday morning and turned on the tv this show was on. I found it very interesting talking about the ups and downs of past lottery winners. I checked with TV Guide online and the next time it airs is Wed. April 25th at 2 pm on E!, in case anyone hasn't seen it and would like to catch it.
