Since i am among the members who wanted to see changes to the home page i would like to explain something,i read this entire post and i never read any thing about anyone and myself not liking anything about the home page Todd created here ,for myself i thought it would be great if it was customized,like evolution keeping upwith the times{2007}YOU see the world,our universe is just like the numbers we bet on ,it has a system of order that must be changed with the times ,if he keeps it like it is... The Lottery Post Home Page is a joint effort between LP Webmaster & LP Members, so it comes as no surprise that a majority of LP Members, that voted, voted to Leave the Home Page As-Is.

I have to agree with Lucky, in that, I don't know how you could make it better, but I know you will. I like it just the way it is. I get a nice overview of everything except the results as they come in....comments on any post, predictions as they are made, news as it gets posted, blogs as they get updated and I can go anywhere from there. Oh, maybe you could put a section up near the recent posts area with the latest result of whatever is popping up. ???? It is only an idea.

You are the second person to ask that in the past week, and I think you're just missing it. Click the down-arrow on the page control and it will drop down a menu to take you ahead to whatever page you wish.

If there other comments about that or other features, please do start another topic so that this one stays related to the Home page.

I like it the way it is. I'm so used to it already that changing it would probably derail me for awhile. It's just like going to my favorite supermarket where I know where everything is.

Although customizing would be a nice way to go,,,I would save it for a membership upgrade,,,(marketing 101),,,I like the home page although after 5 years I kind of tend to blow right through it to where I want to be...I think you need a wow factor on the home page...I would probably compress the news clips to just headlines and come up with something that could possibly make me want to stop there for a minute and see whats new,,,,(because I am not in Marketing, I'm not sure what that can be).... I think customizing is the way to go these days. There are a lot of designers out there and are hard pressed to see a good front sheet. Treat it like Firefox, which I do have several of their 'add-ons', for a personal look that will satisfy many, even the bashful. Of course you could just consider a complete color change, but then again anyone can customize by using the typing fields below!

Don't worry, I understood exactly what you meant, and your comparison to Yahoo is correct. That's what I meant by customized . No need to justify your comments at all by saying that the other features are not bad! I get a lot out of free-form comments -- just say what's on your mind. Thanks for your input.

Hi i don't think i explained it,I was trying to tell Todd it would be a good idea to put what ever features you are viewing on that particular moment or day and juggle it back and forth or have the option to put it all back,Just like the YAHOO Homepage,Here is an example of what i am saying,IF i want to watch TV on a certain day i can just put TV at the Top,this is the Guide and if i want just some of the news i can choose whatever i want to read that interest me and have it on 1 page, or someti... This is a tough one but an important question since it is the first thing people see when coming onto the site and you want to make a good impression to get them to stay.

I voted a little too much information . Guess I find all those newstories a little distracting, it's sort of like the 2nd page of the newspaper instead of the first page where a nice big headline cover story gets my attention to keep reading and delve deeper. I'm a sucker for teasers,though,so don't mind me

You have the news in the middle, and just enough info on the right to give the viewer an outline of what to expect in the LP, without cluttering it up.
