Did you see the seals eating the penguins on Discovery? Talk about odds. When they first documented it, and then filmed it, that must have freaked them out. One would never think that these two seemingly non competitive species would be at such odds is surprising. I would have bet against this happening. I just want to say...urggggg...I called loto quebec to get to the bottom of this story and it seems others have called too.They, loto quebec, are now saying that the story was miss quoted..Hence this unbelievable story is really not that.

I heard that when they throw rice at weddings the moisture in the birds stomach mixes with the dry rice. and it swells

I think ummm mabey thats why they switched to trail mix or whatever, ( to throw).

Yup. Wouldn't that be great? Even if 3 people won, you'd be 2 of them and get 2/3rds of the prize instead of only half. I also think of it another way. Let's say you were planning to help your family. You give your child or sibling one of the tickets to claim. Then there's no additional tax for the gift. Also, both of you can then send $12,000 each to everyone else on your list doubling the tax-exempt annual gift amount.

If a person was somehow 'sure' they had the winning numbers, and if the amount warranted it, you take the cash option with one ticket, and take the annuity with the other, that's why.

Nobody disputed the possibility that the same person turned in two winning tickets. What is far fetched is that the person bought one and found the other, and a story from lottery officials does nothing to prove the alleged scenario. If the lottery says that one of the tickets was a QP and it was printed after the first one, that would prove that the person didn't intentionally buy two tickets with the same numbers, but it still wouldn't prove that he found the second winning ticket.

That's a lot work for Todd to prove you're telling the truth. Why should he care? Whether it's *true or not, no one's chances of winning a lottery is going to be improved by checking their streets for lost lottery tickets. Maybe you should send that information to your local paper, sounds like it's worthed some local news coverage.

mr Sylvain Renaude of Vaudreuil-Dorion wins twice the same draw..

6 months later mr.renaude found a ticket that had the same numbers and was for the same draw

I agree with you. Also I would like to point out that it's easier for me to believe that there are people out there who would do just about anything to get recognized. The guy who killed John Lennon admitted he was jealous, and that he felt that he was a nobody. He wanted a piece of the action and he got it. As far as notoriety goes.

Why?

Why would a guy walk into a university and kill 32 innocent people?

The attention has nothing to do with the amount. It's the time span, and being at the exact place where the ticket was.

Just to let you know, yesterday I bought a couple of tickets for the p-3 with the numbers 144 on them. Later on that day I bought more of the same, ata different location.. feeling that I should have purchased more. The winner last night was 544. My hunch was pretty close.

The loto corp can track where every ticket was bought..

The person who bought the first ticket can easily go to another location and buy another ticket with the same numbers, wait six months before cashing it in, just to make himself news worthy, and try to be popular.

The odds of something like that happening by chance is in the billions, especially because of the time factor involved.

He's just seeking attention, that's all.

This story came out last week in loto quebec's weekly flyer.Im gonna go out and try to find a copy since loto quebec doesnt have an archive section on there on-line version.

And no,There was no connection between the two tickets..The lotto corp wouldn't print that story if they thought the guy was making that up..

The loto corp can track where every ticket was bought..

so give me some time,Ill find that news flyer..

That happened a few years ago in Ohio but the two players were husband and wife who regularly played their grandchildren birthdays. They forgot the other one was picking up the tickets so they both bought them and when they heard there were two jackpot winners they discovered they were them.

The odds of somebody else playing the same numbers as him depends on how many people bought tickets and what the numbers were. Hi, Im knew to this site and I thought I would relate a story that just came out of loto quebec.

In sept of 2006 a Man won 53,ooo by getting 5 out of 6,plus the bonus number in the 6/49 lottery.

6 Month's later this dude find's a lottery ticket on the street and is perplexed because this ticket has the same number's that He alway's pick's and is dated from sept 2006.

So He bring's it in to the loto quebec main office and find's out sure enough,it's worth 53,000 bucks.
