Brenda, are you saying, you want to take the square root of 458 ,then take the square root of the square root? If so, if your data(458) is in A1, in A2 type =SQRT(A1), ENTER, Then drag that cell across your page.

I think I'm doing something wrong,though. I punched in your formula in the second col but it just stays there and doesn't forumlate anything. Shouldn't it change into something? Thanks

if you have 458 in row 1, col 1; in row 1 col 2 type =RC[-1]^0.5

you can drag drop that formula into other columns on row 1

Requesting Excel Help, Please

I am trying to make a chart of every pick 3 number and it's square root. However, I would like to go beyond the first set of numbers it gives me.

For example, on my calculator if I punch in 458 and then it's square root, I can keep pressing the square root button and it will keep giving me calculations.

Any way to do this on Excel?

Appreciate any input and help, thanks so much
