It amazes me how people will just makes up 'facts' instead of admitting they don't know something.

People who do that rarely ever stop to think that they might be talking to someone who actually knows a little bit about the subject they are talking about.

Sometimes it's funny to let them dig themselves in deeper and deeper and deeper.

A relative of mine who knows that I play the lottery was visiting one day last week. He said that one of his co-workers won $2400 on Powerball. So I kept on listening to him talk and right as he got ready to end the conversation. I responded by saying are you sure the game he was playing was Powerball because that prize is not in Powerballs prize structure. If you take $100 and go to the casino, and you come home with anything more than zero, folks somehow call that 'coming out ahead'.

I haven't done that but I have had something similar where all that numbers that have come up made more sense to my life more so than the numbers I've played.

like a week after my mother died.... her date came up day and month mine date and month my son's birthday day and my mothers date of death in one number 6 5 9 10 14 38 and it was a huge mega millions jack pot 158 million or something ..... How about 'I had all 5 white balls written on a ticket, and changed them to something else'.....

Oh wait, that's me, and it's not BS, and on top of that - I've done it TWICE.

Beyond that, I enjoy listening to folks tell me how much they won at the Casino or at Keno, because I never hear a word about how much they LOSE when they go...
