I try to maintain a friendly site here. I think people are happier coming to a site every day if they feel welcome and comfortable. I know several people that have won some nice bucks, but nobody that has won a Million.....two of my Friends have won with scratchers....one for $250,000 a couple of years ago. one just last month for $10,000...that one was with the $20 Game Book ticket.

My Son won $5,000 with an easy pick Mega Milion a few years back, and he only bought ONE ticket

On a lighter note.....nobody has come forward yet to claim the money. In Florida 6 people showed up the next day, but there were 12 winners in FL, not 4. This is one of those situations where that expression time will tell is applicable. Personally, I would wait for a few weeks, until people stopped caring so much, but not too long. Regarding all the discussion about lawyers, financial planners, etc., after federal tax, the winners will end up with about $650 to $700K, depending on deduc... [ More ]

so on 07/07/07 was the luckiest day of the year a coined expression for anytime the month day and year are the same number.

08/08/08 --- 09/09/09 10/10/10 etc won't be a glamorous as 07/0707 but will still draw many people to play combinations of this and plan many activities around it.

No point in arguing about this. I guess I am foolish to think there are ethics in gambling. Of course a person purchasing 10 tickets has a greater chance of winning than someone who buys only one. I was only saying that I don't believe in special treatment, and a store owner who prints extra tickets for his regular customers is giving them an advantage. In that case it's obviously different, in that other games will always have tickets for sale until they close sales to hold the drawing.For games where there are a limited number of tickets (and that means every offline game as well as a few of the online games), it's a simple matter of first come first served. Nope - I'm in the CST also.

All I know is what the few retailers I visit tell me - that it shuts down on them between 8 and 8:20 pm, CST.

Now, if that's true across the nation, I don't know, but that's what about a dozen places have told me when I ask them when they shut it down.

I agree Delores. When this post 1st started I congratulated the poster because all I saw was that he/she had won. Then I started reading into what was said and then had doubts. Well, the people who are calling the OP a liar(e.g. rubblehead), can't really say he is because they don't know if the OP ACTUALLY did win. However, the people that are not fully convinced are still fully within their right. Trust me, I have 3 kids and way too many things to do other than posting and responding to emails about this if it weren't true! I've been visiting this site for a few years checking LOSING lottery tickets and never had the urge to post anything. When I realized we had the winning ticket, I felt the need to spread that news to the people here and give everyone some hope.

I'm not a stupid person and realize there a lot of cynical people in the world but it's too bad.
