I think this a fantastic way to tackle pick 4 doubles. I like to narrow it down even further to just 4 digits like 0-1-4-7 which would give you 12 doubles to play.

Test Case for FLORIDA: (no 0, 2, 3, 6):

Based on past history pattern on 10.05.07 after 3, 7, 8 came out there were 2 doubles after.

Therefore for November 22, 2007 (Tuesday) for FLORIDA, following 48 numbers will be played:

1145, 1147, 1148, 1149, 1158, 1178, 1189, 4415, 4417, 4418, 4419, 4457, 4458, 4459, 4478, 4479, 4489, 5514, 5518, 5547, 5548, 5549, 5578, 5589, 7714, 7718, 7745, 7748, 7749, 7758, 7789, 8814, 8815, 8817, 8819, 8845, 8847, 8849, 8857, 8859, 8879, 9914... [ More ]

Also make sure you include Lucky 's pick of favorite 4 digit numbers for Florida as a subset of your numbers. Lucky picks a lot of good Pick4 numbers.

Any feedback to this methods of filtering is most welcomed:

As many of you know that doubles come out more often than singles and ddoubles, triples and quads. From my past experience the ratio for doubles compares to singles is just about 2.6 to 1.

Therefore the following methods is to show how to pick your double number when you feel that is coming or due:
