Never say never

Last night I was kidding around in a thread with a poll 'how do you pick your numbers' and said I play the number of posts the person I'm responding to has. That was my 807th post and I didn't want to play that because 807 hit in yesterday's midday drawing. Well it hit straight again in today's midday drawing so it does happen.

In Fantasy 5 there is a total of 5310 combinations that match 3 of the numbers from the previous drawing so while it's unlikely to happen, it's far... [ More ]

I only mentioned this because of the numerous times there have been discussions here about repeat numbers, low numbers, consecutive numbers, etc. When I won 4/5 in Jan I was asked if I was going to keep playing the same numbers. (not only on LP, but even at the store when I cashed it) Tonight I checked Fantasy-5 and the numbers are 2-17-19-31-34 and they looked familiar so I typed them in the check to see if your numbers hit and in January the following combination was picked. 2-16-17-31-34 whic... In every Florida Fantasy 5 drawing there are ten 3 number combinations so there is a 1 in 71 chance of 3 of the numbers repeating.

California's Fantasy 5 has 3 repeating from somewhere within the last 1 - 10 draws roughly 8 draws out of every 100. The table below shows 3 repeating on 2/16 from 8 days prior, in addition to a good run of pairs repeating. Does anyone with 3 repeats stats for another state's P5 have similar metrics?

I don't think there are rules when it comes to the lottery. Any set of numbers can come out, even if they came out the night before.

I can just see if one of those winners was a QP when the person bouthg the ticket they thought, Oh man, three of these numbers hit last night, so much for this ticket .
