I think I found my problem. I am searching in a file that has separate numbers in difference file. I need to merge the 3 digits number in one cell not 3.

This is a screen capture of what works for me, of course I have to change it every time I go into the file. Next I'll have to tell it to make it the default. But take a look at the 043 pre-test - 3 times.

I am sill not able to search, I went to find, changed it to values, seach within sheet, search by columns, look in values. I have no checks in match case or match entire cell contents. I entered 011 and click find. I get Microsoft excel can not find the data. What's wrong

That's it! Thank you Carbob. I went to options in Find and in Look in: choose values rather than forumlas. I'm not sure whether it's only Excel 2007 you have to do it - even though I did save the file it to work in 97 and 2003.

Janet, I just downloaded the file, did a search for 079, found 3. Seems to be working. Are you sure when you click Find, in the Find and Replace Box, you are changing look in Values and not Formulas

I don't get it. At first it wouldn't show the leading zeros. Then I fixed that. I changed the cells to text and it took out the leading zeros.

Anybody know how to fix the leading zero problem in Excel 2007? When I go to number, custom, chose the single zero and add two more it shows but will not recognize it on a search but it's recognizing all the other zeros that are not leading. No problem with the date zeros.

This is fantastic. For one thing, it shows that the N.C. Lottery is holding consistent pre-draws, which is very important. There are a fixed number of pre- and post-draws, so even though pre- and post-draws are no fun, they are at least predictable.

I have heard of a much worse policy, but I can't remember which state(s) use it: they keep drawing until every number comes out.

I look at predicting in this case like a weatherman who is predicting Thursday's weather on Monday.

wpb - here is the file in a searchable format without a download. I use MS 2007. I moved it into Word to make it searchable and Excel won't show the leading zeros when I put it there. People can copy and paste it into the program of their liking. Anybody know how to make the leading zero show in 2007 let me know.

No you are not the only one pissed!! LOL. All states have a pre-draw but I didn't know that NC had 3 plus a post draw!! One state post their pre-draw data on their web page, I think it's Fl. I don't know yet how we can use the NC data. Have to study it for a while.

Ok cool...nope I could not figure it out. Does anyone have a quick way to merge 3 columns on an excel spreadsheet into one? Office XP or 2007? Tenaj I saw a few programs that do it but its not worth the money.

Don't email them everyday. That won't do any good because they don't get the information to put in the spreadsheet but every few weeks. Then you can go to the NC website under player information and request the history that you are missing. You have to give them the date range. Did you make the Excel file searchable

Tenaj thanks so much for posting this. This is some awesome information. But am I the only one that is PISSED off? If you look at the predraws and post its enough to make you SICK. If we had this info all along we would KNOW when the trips coming..when to play series, doubles, etc. I totally agree this seems like its munipulatingthe draws. The NC draws do have a pattern. I can see it. But when those numbers dont count the pattern is jacked up. I would love for someone to air this on tv and quest... [ More ]

Just took a quick look at the pre-test data and now I see why 125 combo have not been draw. It's been in the pre-test numbers many times and so have a few of the other triples.

Those will be my next questions. I tried to get them on the phone and that's why it took so long. But I e-mailed them and they answered right away.

They also answered the question about paying out tickets too.

Wow tenaj! Thank you, I thought NC had forgot about your question. It will be interesting to see what was drawn prior to the actual draw. Did they tell you what time they do the pre-draw or what time they actual draw the winning number? I think the 11:22 is just the air time for the numbers not the time they do the draw.

NC sent me an Excel Spreadsheet of its complete history of pre-test draws.

It's shy the last few days.

There are 3 pre-test draws before the live drawings, then the live draw and a post draw. WHEW!

They said that this spreadsheet is only updated about every two weeks and it not officially audited.

It's interesting seeing what numbers were draw before and after the live draw as tests.
