You don't think people should keep the promises they make?

The people to whom he made this promise (the article in the news forum actually says that he plans to give them each a share) were people with whom he routinely played in a pool. He certainly isn't required to give them anything, but that he is offering shares to them from a prize won with a ticket bought independently is a nice and honorable gesture. Despite the conjecture of some people here there doesn't appear to be any indication... [ More ]

I agree with tntea. I was brought up that giving your word and a handshake meant everything. However, people say all sorts of crazy things in the heat of the moment, whether it's out of excitement or anger. How many times has someone here said I just want to kill that %$#@! You really don't want to kill anyone -- at least I hope not! Millions of people also promise to love, honor and obey 'til death...well you know! LOL

Yes, he has so much money now that maybe he should honor his promise, sin... [ More ]

I am wondering if any of his friends ever give him -- from time-to-time -- a $1.00 toward his dream.

Finally, I don't think people should make promises to family, friends, or coworkers -- if they should win. There are too many jealous, envious people who think you, the winner, owe them something. If these people become hostile, beligerent...just say to them: all you need is a dolla... [ More ]
