Well, five EP I bought two days ago in another town about 15 miles away and two (with three self picked) I bought today. Last row on each shares two numbers with the third on the second ticket being one off on the first ticket. Then of course there's several plays with same numbers but nothing like the last time.

You'd have to find what percentage of the percentages are winners to get a more accurate idea but even still due to the huge difference between the two methods it would probably need a little more work with the figures but just doing that would give a better idea. It'd be much easier if it was 50/50 for each since they'd be on an even playing field..

Please remember (and someone correct me if this isn't accurate or you have newer info) that upwards of 81% of people do Quickpicks so I do not subscribe to the thought process that Quick Pick is a better way. If you go on the PB Website and check the data over the last 10 years- you will find many people that picked their own numbers did win also. If 80% of people picked their own numbers and only 20% had QP, those numbers would reverse themselves.

Oh forgot to tell you this.....I bought a quick pick cash 5 ticket.....actually $5 worth and got 4 out of 5 exactly right on one of them and believe it or not they were in order of the numbers that came up and I won $269.

Never done it since but keep trying.....also got 2 correct out of one of the others and was so excited I did not see it and when the cashier paid me I thought she paid me too much and realized later I had the other win......lol....at the time I tried to tell her it was too m... [ More ]

And I clearly can't do math at this time because that was suposed to be SIXTY numbers total. Plus looking through what I typed and comparing with the numbers again, the number I said was used four times was used three times, so that's 40 numbers (14 twice, four three times) that were used more than once and 20 that weren't..... Holy crap, I've lost the ability to count and do this propertly. I'll blame it on a lack of sleep, yeah that's it...

Argh, found two pairs that I missed and noticed I said fifty instead of fifty-five but the time limit for editing ran out. So make that fourteen pairs, 41 duplicate numbers, leaving only 14 that weren't played more than once.

They don't even need a super computer these days, I'm sure they know every single combination that is played before each drawing since every lottery terminal is networked to a main hub for each state and probably to where the drawing is held, just a decent computer and software to keep track of the numbers and find combinations that aren't played, which probably is not too hard unless there's 175,711,536 tickets sold with no duplicates and then they'd have no choice but to pay out but since they... Remember.. It's the GOVERNMENT who runs the lottery.

I barely trust the integrity of the Pick 3 games let alone have them give me computerized generated QUICK PICKS!

Think about...

They have a super computer that can calculate odds of certain combinations based on hsitory and such.

They will give the worse numbers possible

Yes, I have had it to happen with pick 3 twice in one week, many, many moons ago, luck was so good that week, I thought maybe it was an omen that I was about to bite the big one, or headed for the great man in the sky.... so yes it does happen, but I think it's all about luck, it's never happened again and as I said before it's been years ago...

There was a post here at lottery post just recently about same numbers on quick pick.

It was someone from North Carolina who purchased their picked numbers and bought a set of quick picks for someone else.

The quick pick had the exact same line of numbers on it.

According to most lotteries websites, 70-75% of their winning tickets are quick picks so when ever a ticket has all the winning numbers there's a 70-75% chance it's a QP.

Well, I was just thinking about it for the last day and a half after buying three MM picks, two I chose the numbers myself and the third was an easy pick that picked the same Megaball I had for my second group of numbers. I've had happen several times and years ago I had an easy pick that had three numbers that matched what I had picked in a previous row on the same ticket.
