If you play an out of state lottery, let your state and local politicians know. So they know that revenue is going to benefit projects in other states.

RE: The Arkansans are probably collecting fat Wal Mart dividend checks and dont care to sqaunder any on the lottery.

Actually, only a handful, the Wal-Mart family and their in-laws, gets the dividend checks which are funded from a collection the rest of us Arkansans make.

No state needs a lottery, it is a way of generating extra revenue that can be used for services and facilities that benefit society as a whole. Lotteries are not to answer to all of life's problems, they are just a little more icing on the cake.

Alaska and Wyoming get lots of revenue from natural resources. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that not only does Alaska not have a State income tax but they actually pay there residents from oil revenues. Hawaii has alot of wealthy people who probably dont care to play the lottery and besides which state would the Hawaiians buy tickets from?

Why does Nevada need a lottery? You can bet on almost anything in Lost Wages.

States with low population can take advantage of multi-state lotteries to enable them to generate revenue. In Europe, they have a multi-national lottery - so it can work

I doubt Alaska and Wyoming would bother starting up state lotteries if just for the fact that neither state really has enough people for it to generate much revenue and could possibly lose money. I think it's pretty obvious why it wouldn't happen in Utah and Nevada/Bizarro Utah's casino/gambling industry and its lobbyist wouldn't allow the potential competition. You can put pressure on your state and local politicians by supporting other state lotteries. When politicians see revenue going out-of state, support education and community projects in other states, they wake up and smell the coffee.

If you live in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, Utah, or Wyoming, states without a lottery, and you
