These numbers are all calculated from the most common followers from the previous night's drawing, with a drawing pool size of 430 (meaning I look back 430 drawings to calculate likely followers). So the 7 wasn't really that close to a 9 with this method, since consecituve balls don't have much meaning here.. The 7 was the most likely follower of the 11 from last night, and I'd have to look deeper to see where the 9 turns up, but I don't believe it's near the top...... [ More ]

I play almost like you - I make educated guesses on 3, sometimes 4 white balls, but I make totally random (yet educated) guesses on the others.

What this means is if I choose numbers 7 and 8, I won't also pick 6 or 9. Three-in-a-row happens from time-to-time, but not enough to make me play it.

My knowledge is comprised from many sources, here, books, internet, etc. On my Big 4 win I played a number I stuck to one day on a whim/intuition, and that is the day it came up finally. I could not believe it and I looked at the ticket and the screen for hours thinking something had to be wrong. It was a great feeling, and I hope to have that happen soon with a much larger jackpot. Best win so far, Big-4 $2,600 last year. Closest hit lately? Last night 4 out of 6 on the match 6. I thought I finally had it! I was pissed. One more number would have been $1,000, one more number $1.5 million. Ticket was already turned in. 2 numbers away from the BIG dream...for the 6th time! Hope to post the big win one here soon, after I am sitting pretty and the money is deposited.

I know someone who had 4 out of 5 on the powerball 4 times now in a few months.
