In PA you can collect up to $2500 at the store, which I did, plus another $100 on a boxed Big-4 ticket. The store pays you then files a claim to get the money back. Anything over that, you file a claim and get a check. Might be the same where you live.

check the state lottery webiste in which you purchased the ticket. It has guidelines for claiming. Each state has its own prcodeure for claims and values that can be cashed at a retailer.

Welcome to Lottery Post Tasha! It really depends on the amount won. If it is under $600 dollars then you can collect it from the store. If the prize is over $600 dollars you have to collect it at the lottery office. I am not sure how much time you have to wait to collect a large win. I've heard some people say they give you a check right away and some have said that they check your background to see if you owe anything to the government. Hello, my name is Tasha I am pretty new here and I have some questions regarding the scratch offs.

If I win, who do I contact? Do I need to go to the local retailer and ask for my money? Or do I need to do down to the lottery office and ask them? Do I need to wait for the scratch offs to be validated or can I just get the money that same day??? Sorry these are the questions that I am totally have no clue on.
