Not sure if you used the same idea to generate your set(s), but in a way i read your post and decided to try following

After seeing (in NY P4) run of 7 numbers with SUM = 15 (and 3 numbers with SUM = 28, this was the real intuitive part), I truncated numbers only using 0 thru 4 and only having SUM = 20

Winning nummbers for 3/3 Eve were: 4434
