I think the number of lines you play is more important then when you play. Only play what you can afford to lose and remember the odds of winning are exactly what is posted on the back of the play slips, buying 8000 lines doesn't change them. When the jackpots are high some stores sell more than 8000 lines and are lucky if they have a $150 winner and so will you unless you have a strategy for buying 8000 lines.
