Congratulations on having the courage to stop; may 2010 bring you all you wish.

Interesting comment though: even though my major losses had nothing to do with playing the lottery, gambling in general has literally gotten me nowhere. One advantage of lotto is that it is far easier to control your losses than with most other forms of gambling, especially those with alcohol involved.

Jack Whittaker was a millionare before he hit the 300mil..He was ahead and still is ahead..I just said people who hit the big jackpots are the only ones who are ahead..People who play cash 3 and cash 4 are never ahead..unless they play a number a million times and hit..Try to keep up..

That would do it alright. Ohio once had a rule that the maximum one lottery ticket could win was a $20M annuity regardless of the jackpot size which stopped a lot of people playing the Ohio Super Lotto game. They got rid of that rule when they saw thousands of cars with Ohio tags lined up to play the BigGame and PowerBall in adjacent states.

Good luck to you, I made the same choice to stop playing the 3 and 4 digit, I might play the Mega Million 4 times a month. If this has been destroying you life, then it is a good thing for you to quit. Stand Strong in your beliefs! Good Luck to you! Happy New Year and may you have a Properous one and a Healthy one. Illinois has a self exclusion form. It sets you so you are not allowed to win in Illinois, therefore you are not tempted to gamble...

The Florida lottery might be sad to see you go, after all, a Dollar is a Dollar and they want all that they can get, of course not to worry as there are more were you came from, as one goes away another one comes in, besides the state always win.

I look at Deal Or No Deal and more often than not those who play it, don't win much money at all, due to their being so greedy, they want to win the jackpot , the big price, they won't take 30 to 100 Thousand Dollars and so they end-up winning from 1... [ More ]
