Im finally learning formulas with my new job. I have been on MANY forums requesting assistance. I finally got an answer on a true Excel forum. I would hapy happpy to help you with anything if I knew more. In fact, I thought i was pretty good at excel until I got this job and found out how extensive it is. Im trying to learn Pivot tables which is driving me crazy!

I put together some Excel spreadsheets to analyze scratchoff games based on combinatorics instead of pure probabilities and hence take into consideration the discrete finite nature of the number of tickets printed and sold. Initially, I used loops and logarithms to handle the large factorials in the VBA subroutines but this resulted in the sheet taking days to recalculate so I had to resort to a Ramunujan enhanced Stirling approximation reordered to handle the large factorials in the binomial co... Just get openoffice for dummies, download it and practice....

I believe that it's 16.50 @ amazon...

I learned it without any help...

There are some members who use Excel. Some are rank amatuers, like me, and others are professional who get paid for their work.

I knew nothing about Excel when I began tracking the lottery. Over time I had need of the VBA features. I knew nothing! So I searched the web for answers and found them.

There are many sites which will teach what you want to know. All you have to do is search.

By the way, what is/was your Excel question
