I prefer to call them the lottery gods - although the Lottery Fairy would technically be one of these lottery gods. The lottery gods are a spiteful and arbitrary bunch. On one hand, they tantalize lottery players with untold riches and make the common man think that they are going to win the jackpot even though it is nearly impossible.
