I'll PLAY them if they look good, but I do not like numbers like 00x or x00 (with the exception of 000). Why not?

801 = birthday. 802 = birthday. 803 = birthday (etc.) 800 = only 80x number that is not a birthday. When this number or a number like this comes up I begin booing at the lottery official. Although I guess, 800 can stand for August 2000... Exceptions: 007, because of its connotations with James Bond, and 500, because that number won in New Jersey on the day I was born.

The beauty is, you don't have to play straight and boxed...you just have to play ss....just say - let me have .50 superstraight on 010 and

$100 straight on 010 - just kidding!!

.50 superstraight will do it...but if you like to win the boxed bet of $80 (is that what it is for you?) then by all means go ss and str8/box!

Well, let me start with the downside first.....it's a way to spend more money

Let's get on to the upside! It's a way to cover all ways so that when you hit, you hit straight.

I like to play it that way on a 3 way number...like 100 (less coverage, 3 ways 100 010 001) so if you play 010 superstraight for .50, you spend

$1.50 and if it comes up...you win the straight payout.

I normally don't like a 6 way SS bet unless I feel real good about it...that's putting the bet on a single numbe... [ More ]

I work with numbers I have to; yet there are a couple that I kind of shy away from I don't know why, I don't like the consecutives 123 345 546 678 789 But there is one I really don't like...and it its 010 it looks weird and the number 4 and This is before I learned about the Chinese tabu number 4

Beside the trip-sixes, what others numbers won't you play? Whether it's Pick 3, 4, 5, 6 or 5 + 1 are there numbers you just refuse to play?

I know we've had an ugly number thread but this is a little different.

In Asia, 4 no good is common because in the Chinese counting system, il, i, sam, sa......sa also means death.

Presents are never given in sets of 4, some hotels don't have a 4th floor (note, 13 = 1 + 3 = 4!)

In Japanese, 42 is shi ni, you die .
