Anything short of a jackpot actually won is pure conjecture and nothing else.

Most jackpots that are won are won by quick picks 70 to 80% of the time.

Nothing else to figure out.

The odds of winning the jackpot are exactly the same whether you wheel a small group of numbers for $20 or get $20 worth of QPs. The only real way to compare the two bets is to make both bets and see which method out preformed the other on secondary prizes. I for one won't spend the extra 20 bucks to test it, but there is a QP generator on LP that accomplishes the same thing.

$5 quick pick on the same ticket is the way to go.If you read the stories of most mega millions and powerball winners, they have won with a $5 quick pick. Whenever you buy $10, $20, $40 and $50 quick picks. the tickets are printed on $5 quick pick tickets. i know that some mega millions and powerball states print $10 on a single ticket.but you can always ask the clerk to push the $5 button on the machine twice to get two $5 tickets quick pick instead of a $10 on one ticket.By the way in new york... There is a method of winning any lottery with quick picks ,but it all depends on what machine button you use to buy your tickets.Winning prizes always hide within these quick pick buttons. i think if it was really random,then you would have more then one ticket winning the 200-300 million dollar jackpots.it would be nice to have like 10 winners winning the huge jackpots.

The game is totally random, and there is NO guaranteed way to beat the lottery. It all depends on luck. People spend so much time agonizing over what numbers to play, yet the person you see holding that display check on TV won by a quick pick.

it is a very bad idea. you are basically pooling a few numbers and then taking them and finding all the combos that could be made from them. this also means that you will lose more money. the miniscule improvement in odds does not justify the very significant amount you have to dish out to cover all these combinations from the pool of numbers you selected. my conclusion is,if you live in a huge population state where there are large turnover of numbers,then quickpiks are best,but if you live in a small pop. area like utah,then your own piks stand a better chance.

Draw upon the impressive talent found in Maddog's prediction threads (Jackpot Forum) to increase your odds of winning.

I believe there have been several 5 + 1 predictions between LP members in the past.

The challenge is determining which predictions to mix/match when selecting your numbers.

If you have a little extra cash laying around, select a series of numbers from multiple LP members and wheel them.

Even a 5 + 0 hit will change your life.

What's the point of trying to convince folks of anything when it comes to lotteries? I simply post what I believe and why and folks can do what they want with the information. I assume they come to LP to share other players ideas on playing lottery games and maybe present their won.

i have a theory, collect all tickets i have in play and sort out them into 3 win combo's of the numbers involved.

Because that way the lottery only gives free tickets to the people who actually buy 5 games. If they gave a free ticket to an individual who buys 5 games on 5 different tickets they'd be giving free tickets to retailers who sold 5 tickets to 5 different people.

195 million to 1 odds. I don't think it makes any difference if you buy all QP's on one tick or 5 tics with one line each or whatever. You can try to cut the odds a little, but it still comes down to incredible luck.

I posted the above poll to see if fellow posters can help shed some light on the poll. This information has always bothered me - Is it better to buy single tickets with one line each - or is there any correlation between the timing mechanism in the lottery machine and the number it generates that makes the randomness and combination of the numbers any more likely if any correlation can be found.
