This is a good post...I thought about it for a couple of days and read some items about jackpot winners.

My thoughts lean towards whether or not you can claim anonymously as having alot to do with the self esteem.

When I won my first big prize I almost peed in my pants. I was in a really desperate situation - due to depression, I lost my job and basically had no money to pay the bills (thank you mom :))

One of my dislikes is that when it comes to my relationships I'm very insecure. Having alot of money isn't going to make me feel secure. Financially YES....but with my relationships I would probably become even more insecure.

I think a big win can definitely boost your self-esteem - money is a tool to be used to better your circumstances - replace all the people, places and things in your life you don't like with all the things you really enjoy!! And if there are deeper issues you need to deal with that keep you from feeling good about yourself, a big win will pay for all the therapy you need.

I actually believe that if your self-esteem is already low, winning the big one could lower it even more. You are bound to have to hurt some feelings here and there.

Whatever I like or dislike about myself isn't going to change because now I have money. I may forget about my likes and dislikes for a very short time but eventually they'll be back.
