Sometimes the ONLY way we learn is by doing.......! Sounds like you starting to see the reality of all that spending. I hardly buy scratchers. Here in IL they just don't pay out.

That's a good strategy to only buy a few tickets and take them home. That way you CAN'T run back inside and buy more.

I think your last comment on your paragraph is your soul telling you to STOP and play SAFE! Buy one or two tickets a week man... I am soon going to post some facts and data on here for everyone to see Why they won't ever win big on scratchers..

o man.... so just came back with dirty finger/thumb and a empty wallet. i had around $400 in my wallet and now it has become the new york state lottery money. spent about 70% of that on the $20 ''$500,000,000 extravaganza'' tickets. bought like 10 tickets 1 after another and finally only got a $20 win... (crap just got my dirty hands on my white macbook, great......) what a great day. anyway its time i realize i am too addicted. this is even worse then drugs. i should just use the money and hit... I would say get a new strategy...continue playing but cut way back on the amount your spending.

It ALWAYS feels good to scratch a winner but to spend ALOT and lose...that bite hurts alittle too much.

The best STRATEGY you can have is to save your money, there is very little strategy in scratch just cross your fingers is basically all you can do.... You wanna end up way in debt? lose your mortgage? all for playing a silly game that is designed for you to lose!

You wont ever hit the big one and for that the lottery will always take your money.

Buy maybe a few tickets a week but invest more into pick 3 and pick 4, or just invest into stop playing the game at all!

haha yea i got to get me one of the keychain scratcher....its almost getting to the point where i cant stop playing the scratch tickets....it feels great scratching the $500 wins i had so far but i still know im down alot....i blame myself alot for losing so much....

continue playing hoping for the big win? or quit now and forget the lost money........or maybe i jus need a new strategy....

As much as I would love to have that kind of money to spend on ANY kind of fun I don't! (have the money) HAHA tiggs so much for being rich!

You should really read some of my posts I have won fairly large amount on scratch game last year but now I try and teach people methods and tips and also on how to STOP PLAYING the game if it gets too much, just remember the lottery will 98.8% win all the time on scratch games, so you win $500 on a game after spending way more then that now all your gonna do is buy 500 more lottery tickets thinking your gonna hit the golden ticket... I have a scartcher attached to my keychain so idont' get the old dirty thumb lol. My highest win is 500 on a 1 dollar ticket. I like playing whatever they give me don't matter if its the start ofthe roll or the end of the roll. i estimate i spend about 200-300 a month on lottery 60 on pick 3 60 on pick 4 and about 180 on scratchoffs i buy mostly 10 and 20 dollar tickets and mix in a few 5's and 1s' i don't buy 2's or 3's much at all.

hello

i have been reading LP randomly for months now and ive finally decided to start posting. so i became a regular NY lottery player for the past half year. i would play mainly instant scratch tickets and sometimes jackpot games about 2-3 days a week. i would play the $5, $10, $20, and $30 scratch tickets, i rarely play the $2 and never played the $1. there are quite many lottery retailers around my area.

each time i would head out to play i would bring $100-$300 and mostly end up leavin... [ More ]
