Definitely send a lawyer. Although, I too, have always thought to attend it just to make sure it goes well. But if it doesn't....what are you going to do? Shout something out and accidently give up your identity

I'd have a lawyer claim it though I'd still probably have to be there though I might want to be anyway to make sure things go according to plan, would definitely wear a disguise of some sort if I had to actually be there but nothing over the top, just enough to where I wasn't immediately recognizable. I'd also be ready to move ASAP.

I wouldn't wear a disguise, I think once they know your name and address it doesn't matter. Plus I would change my name (marry my long time partner) and move afterwards so again it won't matter. Unless you just put yourself out there i think the vast majority of people forget lottery winners soon after they have won.

Unless a person just really wants the extra attention, they can actually decline on any press conference. The only thing the lottery HAS to do is DOCUMENT the winner in their records for compliance...that's it. In other words, your name can be added in any lottery publication in fine print just to meet this minimum standard.

Even your picture, if they persist in taking one, can be very, very small just like in the obituaries.

Describe your gettup for giving a Press Conference if state requires one to claim a lottery jackpot. My state allows for annonymity so I would claim in a trust and send a Trustee/Lawyer...and Probably a guard to watch the lawyer. (I don't trust Gov't or Lawyers!) LOL
