I like nice things too. I yes after I tithe/charity, buy my dream house...it is only 4 bed rooms and 5 baths...I have that picked out and know the cost...get my dream car and a few other items I have always wanted...I plan on just helping people. I also want to get some of my movie ideas produced...I know some talented people and with the backing, me helping them would be good.

Yep, if I could scratch off 10K, I would just jump right into the comfort zone of Pick 4 and make some killer money every week. I'm talkin' two weeks notice on the job and chillin' in Barbados regularly type money here. Until then, I'll just keep workin' the system towards it!

This is why I like the little games. They can be worked to make big money in the end with just some discipline and careful financial planning. Ten grand is a nice figure to work with!!!

I'd gladly accept the $5-10 MIL on a regular six number jackpot. It's actually easier to win, in terms of odds, than the PB or MM game and I play this one as opposed to the multi-state lotteries. Five million should take very good care of anyone with reasonable financial skills. Just my .02

I'm not convinced systems are any better than QPs at winning jackpots, it just a matter of preference. They might be effective when trying to cover a group of numbers and could be the difference between winning a small 0+1 to 2+1 type prizes of $1-$3 and nothing.

About 70% to 80% of purchases are computer picks.

Which means about 70% to 80% of losers are computer picks too.

One with a system should also do QP...just to be on the safe side...I came up with something today for PB and I am sure it will work...it is pretty good based on past results...but unless I can do a full wheel of 24 WB numbers plus the 8 PB numbers...it won't be 100%...nothing is 100%.

Even with a system you need a lot of luck to win big. For the last PowerBall drawing, using my system I reduced my WB pool to 43 numbers and my PB pool to 15 numbers and had all the winning numbers and the best I did with 15 lines was a 0+1 for $3. I had two 2+0 and with a little luck one or them could have been a 2+1 for $7. Although I reduced my odds of winning the jackpot from 1:176M to 1:14M, I would have needed a lot of luck to get a 5+1 but I liked those improved odds of doing it using my

I'm obviously gonna play both PB and MM (no fun not playing with those jackpots), but the Ohio Lotto's at 8.1 mil, clear 2.79 mil after taxes, and that's just super fine with me.

Plus the odds gotta be somewhat better to win.

I was talking about this to a coworker that's in our pool and we both agreed that winning hundreds of millions would probably bring a lot of hassle to our lives, and a few million would be fine at our age.

I voted 5-10 mil. That would be enough for me to retire and enjoy the rest of my life without worrying about money.

Not really. The family members that would go with me (my mom and sisters), if they wanted to go that is, know that if I win, they will get a certain amount and that's it. They don't expect me to flatout split the whole jackpot. We've discussed this before. So, I don't see them being disappointed. It depends on ones family and ones relationship with how you handle a situation like this. Everyone is different.

I am not talking about sharing a jackpot with family or friends. If I ever win, I will be claiming my jackpot by myself, well they may go down to the headquarters with me, but they know that the jackpot will be mine. I mean having more then one person winning a huge jackpot...probably from different states, people who don't know each other.

If you ever find yourself the only winner of a jackpot larger than you would care to accept alone then you'll probably have no problems gathering a pool of family members, friends and neighbors who would be happy to claim it with you. The only problem is they probably wouldn't tell you if the situation was switched they would not do the same with you and you would probably like to think they would.

I don't think there is an obscene amount for one person to win, but if a jackpot goes up to 200, 300+ million, I dont mind seeing more then one person win it. It would be nice to see more then one person benefit with really large jackpots. But, like some other members here, I am one of those people who would LOVE to win a jackpot no matter how small. Even if it might mean having to share. It would be better then nothing.

Not that I think it's obscene but I wouldn't mind if they capped it at 100 mill and then take all the money they would have added to the jackpot subsequently and add it to the lesser prizes instead.

Jack Whittaker was already a millionaire when he won that PB jackpot, he owned a construction company. He probably acted much the same before he won the jackpot.

He got national attention because so many people seem to feel lottery winners money don't really belong to them in the same way it would if they earned it by being a wall street banker or an executive in a large company. The see lottery winners as only stewards of their winnings with a responsibility to use it doing good for others.... [ More ]

For ME I would say NO AMMOUNT would be obscene. But I son't consider Wealth obscene. Being a Free Market Capitalist I would say whatever the Market will bear.....But that depends on the person...For Jack Whittaker $1million would be Obscene because he obviously can't handle fame/money that comes from a lottery win...However for a person that can handle money (like me..Hopefully) Could claim the money and disappear.

You are only getting roughly half of the advertised jackpot if you take cash option and then you are looking at less because of taxes...don't forget.

Sure a few million would be enough for someone...but that isn't even the point. Why be limited to one amount or the other?

I would take what ever I can get and be grateful.

Take into consideration reductions of the advertised amounts for cash option, and then what the net would be after taxes, but is there an amount you consider too much for one winner, even if that winner is you
