If my answer seem short and to the point, there's a reason for it.

Some years ago when Ohio Rolling Cash5 jackpot was nearing $500K, a thread about it was very active and one post from a LP member (who's no longer active) in California who said he usually played RC5 when its jackpot was high through his sister by wiring her money to buy tickets until she recently moved from Ohio caught my attention.

Maybe it is good that I don't have any friends. ;-) To be blunt, you are being taken advantage of.....They are supplying numbers and you are not only fronting the $, you are the one physically going to get the ticket. Cut your ties now.

In my case, we (my husband and some family members) used to have a lottery pool but everyone paid $1/2.00 depending on the Jackpot prize. I also had the pool sheets with the numbers we choose and the name of each member. my husband who used to buy the tickets, provided us with a copy of the numbers played.

i share tickewts with a group of 4 other pals. i also share tickets with some family memebrs.

the 2 groups play diff numbers. and we all put in our fair share.

I also play my own numbers, but have started to go halves with a pal, we g halves in that also.

what does it matter if hes getting a good deal, if you aRE HAPPY with the arrangemet?

now if you end the arrangement, im guessing you're up fr a big win the week after.and the fun should start then.

I did in the past, but when I began to see and hear the extremes that people would go through to keep you from sharing in the winnings of a ticket, I stopped. I know how to spend and invest money on my own. I don't need nobody attempting to keep me from my share of the winnings because they have the ticket in their possession.

I have a lottery pool at work with 13 coworkers. We play a mix of Powerball and Louisiana Lotto tickets. We do a combo of numbers we picked and quickpicks. We've won small amounts of money here and there, but haven't won a jackpot yet. It's fun to do, I enjoy it a lot.

Doesn't Oklahoma have lottery games he can play? Sounds like he's smart, if I found someone smarter than me who could pick winning lottery numbers better than me I might also pay for the tickets and share the winnings with them. Players who make such claims to me have to prove it to get me to participate in such a scheme.

This wouldn't be so bad if you were both fronting the cost to play...equally. I suppose the out take here is that since he's supplying the numbers and you're fronting the money, there's an equality. If or when you hit, it's looked at as a joint effort. If you weren't mathematically inclined AT ALL I could maybe understand this.

No, I don't play the lottery with anyone but myself. It's less trouble that way. And like others said before me, you sound like you're basically being taken advantage of. You buy the tickets and some guy gives you the numbers? So, you're spending all of your money but if you happen to hit the jackpot one day, you're going to have to split the jackpot with him. I would really rethink your partnership with the guy.

#1) No i do not play the Lottery with Friends. My mother and i do play but we split the cost and we split the winnings. She only lives 1/2 mile from me. We get together face to face and select our numbers.

From experience, the best way to lose friends is to start playing lottery games with them. Five years from now after you stopped playing with them, if you happen to hit a nice jackpot, your old friend will still expect their cut.

How does that works if you win? Do you show him via web cam your winnings and he congratulates you? Or do you send him half of your winnings and congratulates him?
