The most I won was $50. After scratching losing ticket after losing ticket, you should have seen how happy I was to win---to win anything. I was jumping up and down like I won a million dollars! I think that if/ when I win the million dollars, I'd explode!

You don't have many choices.

You have MM with 1:175M odds

You have Super Lotto with 1 in 41M odds.

From there nothing down to fantasy 5.

Compare Fantasy 5 to Illinois Little lotto.

They have the same ODDS.

Ill little Lotto starts at $100,000 Fantasy 5 is at 52,000

And for smaller prizes that can't even come up with a set prize?

Match 2 and they can't give you cash?

10 years ago I was in Vegas for my daughters wedding. Being from Wisconsin I bet $10 for Matt Kenseth to win the NASCAR race that weekend. Matt had never won a race. The odds were 42:1. On the way home I bought a paper and found out that he won his first race. It at least paid for the gas for that trip...

My previous record was $100 on a second chance drawing for the Powerball Instant Millionaire game show scratch ticket. On 29 Dec. 2009, I won $100 playing Pick-3 Boost in Virginia. For those of you who do not know what Pick-3 Boost is, it is a special feature in Virginia. For an extra dollar, they print out five random numbers, and if you match one of them in exact order you win $100. That is what happened on 29 Dec. 2009. Even though I won $10K, I'm behind. So don't feel so bad. If you are playing lighter, that is probably the smart way.

I play heavier when the prizes are bigger.

And I use comparison to the odds to decide what to invest in.

Better to put more into Ill Lotto for me which is about $5,775,000 for 1 in 10 mil odds.

PB and MM are bad, really bad.

In many ways I would rather play for $250,000 than $250,000,000.

But then again I don't play for $5,000 in P4 either...

When Louisiana first started Lotto back in the early 1990s, on the 4th drawing of it, I won $50. I also won $50 another time.

On a scratch off, I once got $20, which was cool.

When Powerball Instant Millionaire was going on, I sent a ticket in for the second chance drawing and received a check for $100.

And the store where I get my tickets gave me a Yolanda Vega talking bobble head. I think he was going to break it over my head, but I wrestled it away and consider it a prize.

I won $200 twice on scratch tickets. One was a $5 and the other was a $20 ticket. Both were last year. the $5 ticket I got at a lottery vending machine in a stop and shop supermarket. Back in '99 I matched 5 of 6 for $1500 playing Ohio Super Lotto. Since then the best I've done is $150 matching 4+0 a couple years ago playing MegaMillions. Apparently, winners aren't that common because the clerk said the $150 prize was the largest she had seen since starting there six months earlier and this was the most popular place in town for buying lottery tickets.

Thanks vjohnson8, but I'm not sure my strategy is the problem though. I tend to choose all the numbers that fall frequently (it's probably the best strategy).

This past Wednesday, not only did my 923 fall straight in the Michigan daily 3 midday drawing, then my 9291 fell box in the evening daily 4 drawing. I was planning to play a hundred bucks on that number because I felt it so strongly, but I chickened out and only bought 6 tickets for me, and one ticket for my friend. He didn't have the same conviction as me, even after I showed him the data revealing that 984 was going to show that night.
