If players eventually have the results of all drawings including the test drawings, they should be able to figure if the test drawings really effect the official drawings. Lotteries say their drawings are random but those who claim test drawings effect the official drawings must believe they aren't because it's combinations in the test drawings are unlikely to repeat in the official drawings. Testing the equipment comes with the territory when we want live ball drawings and we certainly don't want any state lottery to have a reason to change to RNG drawings. So if they can't conduct the test and give us the results where it would be useful, we must rely on the next best thing.

State lotteriers that don't publish the test results are already in a state of Ignorence is bliss or What they don't know can't hurt them .

If it's a game you like or don't like, tell them.

If players don't like a game, they won't play it and the lottery officials will quickly notice the low volume and will either keep for those who do or drop the game.

Most state lotteries draw both the pick-3 and pick-4 games twice a day so if they run 8 pre-draw tests on each machine that could be up to 112 tests a day. If they use one machine with 3 or 4 containers, they are still making 64 test per day. I'm assuming the tests are made minutes before the actual drawing and the real problem to the players is we don't know if that number we loaded up on was drawn during the test.

I'm not from Colorado, but I would really like to see Colorado add a Pick-3 game (and possibly a Pick-4 game). A state lottery without a daily numbers game just does not make sense to me.

I would also like to see computer drawings be eliminated. They are not truly random, and they are not as entertaining to watch as balls jumping around in a machine. I remember well the day that D.C. switched from a ball machine to a computer. I lost interest in watching their drawings.

I'll use play slips when they add multiple times as an option. In Ohio I could put in the numbers, check $1 , straight , and could get the same bet on up to 10 tickets just by running the slip once. In Kentucky if I want to play the same number 5 times, the clerk has to run the same ticket through 5 times.

I do see your point though because several times after making a simple request give me 830 straight for a dollar 3 times and box it for a dollar 3 times , the tickets the clerk handed me we... [ More ]

I would like to see TN put in self-checking scanners in all locations so people that don't check their tickets themselves don't get ripped off by shifty clerks.

Also, the scanner should tell you how much you've won instead of saying Winning Ticket - Check With Clerk like some in other states do.

I trust most of these clerks about as far as I can backhand em.

I think that Illinois Little Lotto is nearly perfect.

1. Starts @ $100,000. While you won't be rich it will change your life.

2. Jackpot increases nicely. $100,000 first day to $175,000 to $250,000 to $350,000 to $475,000 to $625,000

3. lower prizes are nice too.

4.. Ping pong balls. No computer. Televised drawings

What more could you ask for?

Remember when the Ohio Lottery marketing people decided players would like an online game similar to the popular Bingo $2 scratch-off and created Lot 'O Play? I did a double take when I read about Idaho's pick-5 because for years I played Ohio's Rolling Cash 5 where that jackpot starts at $100,000, rolls at least $10,000 more when its not hit, matching 4 pays $300, 3 pays $10, 2 pays $1, and the overall odds of winning any prize is 1 in 9. You can get better overall odds on scratch-offs but for those picking their own numbers with a chance to win over $100,000, 1 in 9 is about as good as it gets.

It hurt me to watch channel 11, but, I changed to channel 11 @ 8:15 and watched until 8:30 and didn't see anything. Unless they ran it along the crawl space and I looked away, I may have missed it then. I wasn't that interested in watching or hearing about the so-called Rockefeller kidnapping, so I may have looked away, but I was still listening for the numbers.

I agree totally. That is why I have never bought a Tennessee lotto ticket since they went to RNG. I do buy Powerball when the jackpot is over 150 million and Mega when they do the same but not a Tennessee game. I know the state gets a slice of my $1 from PB and MM; there is nothing I can do about that. But I refuse to give Tennessee the whole $1.

Why did the VA lottery put self serve machines all over with the ticket being spit out of the machines about a foot from the floor. You have to bend all the way down and the tickets come out one at a time so you have to stay there or the tickets spit out onto the floor. Besides that , when some folks are bent over to get their tickets , It's not a pretty sight.

Delta in tha' house!! Now, we're gettin' somewhere!! Higher payouts would most definitely be embraced. I've said many times that the states should have a true online wagering system where players could simply enter their numbers with their laptops (desktops).

Although my State, Maryland, has started a blog on it's web site, I do believe someone @ MDSL continues to monitor LP.

MDSL uses the ball system to pick all of it's games, but some how we all question the randomness. Are the pre-test being taped and run as if it's the true winning numbers when the computer that take in the bets have generated the intake of the money and numbers that have been played?

My biggest beef has been, 2 things;

Gee, that is pitiful for a Pick 5.

Illinois used to be 5/30 and went to 5/39, big difference, but there have been jackpots of $1,000,000.

People wanted to get paid for hitting 2 numbers, so now 2 pays $1 (be careful what you wish for!), 3 pays $10 and 4 pays $100 and the jackpots are progressive.

When it was 5/30, if I remember right, the jackpot was a fixed $200,000 and 4 of 5 and 3 of 5 were pari-mutuel.

Sounds accurate to me.

We understand the states have their agenda, and we players simply want a fair playing field. Add to the list a daily online accounting of each lottery game's number of tickets sold and how much that game won statewide; that's a better employment of computer usage.

My state Idaho.

1.) Get rid of computer drawings and start using ball drawings and maybe have the drawings live on one of the channels.

2.) Add a pick 4 game.

3.) Get rid of the current pick 5 game and start over. I waited years for a pick 5 game. I wrote in asking the powers that be to add a pick 5 game to the line up and it is horrible. We don't want pre-tests (tantamount to pure fraud).

We don't want computer-generated lotteries.

We don't want the employees pushing the button for the balls to come out on their own time and discretion.
