It just so happens that I produced an image showing the states that participated in each game. I made this image before the expansion to help me visualize where each game was played.

Mega Millions was played in 12 states, the dark blue ones. Powerball was played in red states, D.C., and the Virgin Islands.

I believe you can find what you are looking at by going to Powerball.com - From there go to FAQ/History - From there click on History of Multi-state Lottery Assoc. It will give you a history of what states joined what when.

MegaMillions was only available in 13 states before the cross selling started, now it's available in 43 states.

Before they were played on all 42 states i remember either PB or MM was played in 13 states and the other in 30 states...

Can someone list me the 13 states please and tell me which game it was wether it was: PB or MM...And list me the other 30 states that had the other game...

1 game had: 13 states the other game had: 30 states...Then they began to add more members...
