This should work provided it's used for 8 digit numbers only.

Play around with it and you can get it for other digit sizes.

If the data is in A1, first paste this into B1.

After that, copy contents of B1 and paste into the other cells.

Excel will handle the column and row changes automagically.

=VALUE(MID(TEXT($A1, 00000000 ),CELL( col ,B1)-CELL( col ,$A1),1

I tried but it doesn't work,

I realy NEED A FORMULA for this one, I need the number to stay as a number and not a text.

Put cursor in A1, find Text to Columns menu, usually it's under the data menu.

Hi,

I need help with a formula that will extract digits from a 8 digits number ?

Exemple I have in cell : A1 the number : 15624298 and I need a formula or formulas that will put each digit in different cell ? thank you.

A1 : 15624298

will result in cells :

B1 : 1

C1 : 5

D1 : 6

E1 : 2

F1 : 4

G1 : 2

H1 : 9

I1 : 8
