It took me a while to figure it out, but the payout is close enough to 50/50 to be considered fair.

I saw this wast week in the P-3 forum. I'd have to do the math to see if it's worth wisking 250 bucks to gain 10 bucks, If one of your numbers matches the 26. It only pays half the 500 bucks if you get the original number cowwect.

But like you said, since there are so many of us who's middle name is 1 off in the p-3 game....lol.....then it may help financially along the way to a straight win.

I think August 26th is the debut. I can't wait.....

According to the Official Florida Lottery Website, if the number drawn is 345, and your number matches in STRAIGHT form, you win $250 for $1.00, or $125 for 50 cents, in the 1 - OFF game.

However, if your number is 1 - Off , for example you played 445, rather than 345, you still win a small amount of money, if your number 445 matches one of the 26 1 - OFF numbers on the Play Ticket in STRAIGHT form.

The 26 1 - OFF numbers PRINTED ON THE PLAY TICKET for 345 are:

234.....235.....236.....2... [ More ]

On the Official Florida State Lottery Website, Florida has announced a new Pick 3 game, called 1 - Off , starting August 23, 2010.

The New Concept is that if the number you play is 1 -Off from the actual number drawn, you have 26 other chances to win a small amount of money, if the number you played matches any of the 26 1 - Off numbers on the Playslip in Straight form.
