is that your method -- to buy 5 at a time?

Do you buy the $20 ones often?

Here in TN I could only imagine the trouble I would be in if I bought 5 of the $20 ones each time. I have done it once or twice and it didnt end well.

I agree...that game sucks when it sucks but is ok when it is ok. highest i ever hit on that is $30 but usually like you say the odds are worse than they advertize.

I buy TN 2 dollar jumbo bucks 10 at a time. Here lately i have had 1 winner out of 10 fo 2 dollars

or a ticket. This has happened several times. This knocks the 1 in 4.21 odds in the head

doesn't it.

Good win tonight. Bought 5 $20 Million Dollar Cash Fever tickets. Nummber 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. Hit for $100 on number 11, $500 on number 13, and received my money back on number 14 winning $20. Total $620-$100 spent for total winnings of $520. Not a bad night, and another win for my scratch off method. -JJ

Jumbo Jumbo was a little hard to find in GA. Given I only looked in a handful of stores, it still seemed to be the odd man out.

Jingle Jumbo was sold out a few times but one store I actually asked for JUMBO Jumbo and she brought out a new pack of JINGLE jumbo, which I was happy with (especially after it was a winner -- albeit a TICKET...i went on to lose it anyway on the North side of ATL).

I played Jingle Jumbo last year for the first time. I was happy to see it in TN with the great odds

This is a very cool idea.

My only dilemma is that I would try that and find that the games have expired and I am SOL.

But as long as you keep up with them and dont let them go expired you should be fine.

I had a friend long ago that saved all her winning tickets- cashed them in at Christmas and that was her Christmas money for gifts..

I so wish I could do that- I have saved for a week and that was a good chunk =)..

I may have repeated myself, but there is some good info there.

Another new idea that I am trying to practice is saving my winning tickets for a period of time, and then cashing them in. That way I don't spend all of my winnings on new tickets. I have 5 consecutive $20 tickets that I found in the trash, 004, 005, 006, 007, 008. All from the same book. 5 in a row. $100 wasted. 009 is missing, but then comes 010. This sucker probably spent $120, and won what? A free ticket? $50? $100 if they are super lucky, and even then they still lost $20. We will never know, but my guess is that that person left the store with substantially less money in their pocket than when they went in.

I agree 100% and then some. You cannot possibly stay ahead buying 5 of the same ticket at a time. It is mathematically impossible. You might do it once, you might do it twice, but you are not going to turn a profit on a regular basis doing that. If that would work, everyone would do it, and the lottery would be out of business. Jumbo Jumbo Bucks has been around for quite a while. There are only 28 out of 120 top prizes left. I do not think you have this game in TN, or at least I did not see it listed on the TN website. A lot of the games seem the same, but I was surprised to see that Jingle Jumbo Bucks was only $250,000 in TN whereas the top prize in GA is $750,000. It might be that TN has more top prizes, but they are smaller.

BTW, the $10 games do have 5-6 in a row losers and the $20 games can have 4 losers in a row. I have had BWS 110-115 lose before (a while ago), Winner Green #51-55 all lose, and Cash Fever #14-17 lose. I have a feeling that BWS can go 8-9 without a win. But if a method is hot for you, keep doing it! I'm glad it has worked out. I think I'll try my couple of each game method until it falters. Hi - what were the ticket numbers on BWS? I haven't bought 5 in a row much, because I'd find I'd win for small amounts or get all losers. But I guess it can vary. Good job! I've been buying a couple of different price games each time, and I've been doing better if not great.

Here is my scratch off method.

I only buy tickets 5 at a time. Regardless of the $ amount I always buy 5. If I have an extra $100 i will buy 5 20's. The secret is, buy them off of the same roll. 8 times out of 10 I win my money back at the very least. I have had very good luck lately. I have hit for $100 4 times in the past 3 days alone on tickets from $5-$10. Im having my best luck on the BWS and $5 Monopoly tix. Just this morning I hit for $170 on 5 BWS. Interesting reading =).. I live at the bottom of Michigan and don't buy my gas and tickets at the same place.

I have one favorite small market with friendly employees that share what the last person has purchased/won/lost... I go to other stores and buy tickets but seem to win more at old faithful !

I usually buy $2 tickets and sometimes $1 ones..

My biggest winnings $60 on each ..

I stay positive and I WILL win big !!

CarHauler it is very interesting how you break down the odds, and very helpful.

I live in TN where we have many of the same games GA has but with less payouts. The odds sound roughly the same though.

How long have you guys had Jumbo Jumbo bucks? You said it has a 500,000 payout...here in TN it would probably just have around 200 or 250,000.

We do get the Jingle Jumbo bucks (or we have the last 2 years) and I think it has the best odds but only comes around this time of year. I played it... [ More ]

Anyone feel free to tell me their strategy, not only on scratch offs, but online draw games as well. Here is what I have had the most success with right now. I will spend $10 at a time usually, and I will purchase 2 separate $5 tickets. There are several reasons for this.

1) If I buy 4 $5 tickets, and win $20, then I have just wasted my time. Sure I broke even, and that alone is grounds for celebration sometimes, especially after a hard losing streak, but I still made no money.

Here in GA, we have a new $3 ticket, 2011 Cash Celebration. The top prize, unknown yet as to how many, is $2,011 a week for a year which equals out to $104,572 before taxes. It has overall odds of 1:4.03, which is not too bad for a $3 ticket. It just came out, and I purchased 4 tickets, and all of them losers. I was at that point considering going back to chase my loss, which sometimes pays off, but usually does not.

If I'm winning from one machine, I'll often play that one again. But if it's apparent the roll is a dud after all, I'll change. For example, I think I'll change machines after the only winner on $10 Money Money Money in PA was #27 for $10 when I managed to buy #26-30.
