I've noticed in NY , on p3 and p4,if when you get a QP get two and pay the extra buck and make

um instant win.You'll see the next draws p3 or p4 number within the numbers on one of the tickets.

567 qp number 112 qp number

308 instant win # 086 instant win #

Not everytime ,but alot of the time you'll see next draw number in those 6 numbers on one ticket.Also in the instant win part, if you get doubles or triples... [ More ]

I all ways pick my own digits for all games. I've had more wins with my own number sets then with QP's.

It's all a matter of Intuition and just tracking the digits ,You must treat the games as a investment . You

don't have to play every game. The digits will tell you when to play or not....

For me, it depends upon the online JP game I'm playing.

For the 5/39 game I play, I mostly pick the numbers I want to play, but I've been known to occasionally do a partial QP too.

For the 6/40 game I play, simply because QP's win more often than player picks, I buy QP's.

I like to think of playing this way as getting the best of both worlds. It sure is a shame that I havent won a JP playing either way though

I use to buy a qp close to the drawing and then load the numbers into a program that I wrote

that would build and filter sets based on the numbers on the QP. I noticed that many times

that all the numbers on the qp would be just one or two numbers off in the main drawing. The

program would adjust for this difference and produce 10 sets or so to play. I may dig out that

old program and give it another look.

Witness the last MM winners. One a QP, the other a SP.

With the jackpot games I play both ways. With the P3 and P4, when I play i usually pick my own.

I don't think it makes that much, if any, difference.

I play some self picks along with a couple of quick picks. It's been quoted that quick pick percentage runs about 70% and during a frenzy can go as high as 90% of the total sales for a given draw.

Personally, I don't like them. Like many people, I tend to receive those that are skewed from what would be normal distribution, but any given draw either can be the winner.

On an episode of TLC's The Lottery Changed My Life they had a stat that said that 70 percent of the people who won the lottery won because of Quick Picks. I say you can win either way. If God means for you to win, your gonna win.

Jackpot games i let the machine pick my numbers,but for smaller games, p3 or p4 i normally pick my own numbers and add a qp to them.

I believe that the big jackpot games are effectively random, in that, if there is a pattern, it would take so long to discover it that no one would be able to take advantage of such a pattern. Some people may claim to make a consistent profit on pick-3 games, and I can entertain that possibility. Some people may be able to figure out which combinations are likely and how to play to maximize return.

For me, I've had better luck with QPs. Won little prizes and free tickets. When I pick numbers I don't even get 1 match. For now, I'll keep buying QPs until I get that gut feeling that I should play certain set of numbers.

Always pick my own.

The only exeption to that rule is Colorado's Matchplay and that is because you don't have a choice. For a $2 ticket, you get 3 lines of play. On the first line, you can QP or play your own numbers, but the other 2 lines are always QP. I always choose my own first line. If we could choose our own #'s for the other 2 lines, I would.
