Got a roll today. I dont know why this game as I tell myself I need to stop playing it. Its just the odds are the best in winning $500. Everyone around here plays GR its the most played game.

Anyway got $260 back from $600 spent. Nothing over $40 !! 5 tickets won $40 and 3 won $20

It's tough to explain why state lotteries have to do this change. With more popular games a renumber has to occur after x amount of tickets have been sold. Nothing changes except for the number on the back of the ticket. Everything including odds remains exactly the same. I've seen this twice with a $2 ticket when I lived in Tennessee. With that said, the fact that they had to renumber the tickets leads me to believe that Gold Rush is popular and WILL NOT go anywhere. Trust me... more tickets wi... [ More ]

I agree. I doubt they will make any more GR after this. It was just strange that they created a whole new game # for the last 2 remaining prizes. Typically they continue on the original game # and just show 2/12 top prizes remaining.

I'm wondering their reasoning for this (creting a new game # with 2 of 2 remaining). It seems odd

They only made 5 million of the new Gold Rush tickets. This game used to have a good 30 million tickets but now with other tickets offering $10MM prizes GR does not fare so well anymore. I suspect it will be retired after this run unless they revamp the prize money.

Also, ive noticed the hits on Gold Rush havent been near as good as they used to be. I noticed they came out with a 2nd run of these and printed enough tickets which includes 2 remaining Top Prizes. I havent hit 500 since the new game # has came out. Something just seems fishy about these. Its strange that there used to be like 12 top prizes total, and now there are 2 of 2 remaining with a diffrent game #1093... The new run launched 11/22/10 game # 1093...

Congrats !

The last time I won $100 with GR I had every single number hit but won weird amounts like $1 , $2 , $5 , $40 etc which amounted up to $100. I felt robbed however as I expected at least $500 from this ticket as that is how I won $500 once ( 25 times $20

This is the only instant game I play. I'm not trying for a top prize... I'm trying to get a nice $500 win. (I've hit $500 twice on this game when I played in the panhandle... no luck yet here in Orlando buying 2 tickets per week) Odds are much better at winning $500 on this ticket than any other ticket. And I can't think of anyone that would turn down a $1/2 million top prize. But then again... like I said... I'm not playing for top prizes.

Update

Played through around 75 Gold Rush in the last several months. Won $100 about 4 times. $50 and $40 about 20 times and smaller prizes another 20 times.

Overall I get a winner every 1 in 1.7 tickets. One of the best $20 scratchers out there.

Only play this game if you want to hit $100 or $500 as the game is notorious for spitting out winners in those amounts. Otherwise I would stay away from this game because the jackpot is the lowest of any $20 scratchers and the odds of hitting it are not that good.

This game was good for a while with the $500 gold bar but since there are only 2 top prizes available now I quite playing. Considering the top prize is $500,000 why not play the other $20's with $1-$4 Million Top prizes

Anyone wanna share their experiences with this game? I've never played this one.
