oh ill go find the % of ticket purchases spent back on prizes, i stumbled upon this link, but im sure ive seen the other info

its in separate pdf's

for our powerball, but all except pools are same, %60 the pools puts %50 of ticket of purchases to prizes

10.2. 60% of the total entry fees received for each draw (or such greater amount as

SA Lotteries determines) will be allocated as the prize pool.

so 24c on every dollar bet on powerball goes to jackpot

What you still don't know is the percentage of sales going into the prize pool. In the U.S. PowerBall game, 32% of sales goes toward the jackpot. Since states put approximately 50% of sales into the prize pool, that means 64% of the prize pool goes toward the jackpot.

just saw a pdf with the allocations of prize money to diff divisions here in australia.

what interests me is the way lower allocations to 2nd div, and the pools, my favorite game with a wopping %65 to div 1.

i really dont see why they cant divvy up the cash on an equal basis, ie %20 per rize division.
