80 bucks a couple times years ago.

Hardly ever scratch anymore. Like almost never.

I never one 500 - most I've won is 100 dolalrs, but I usually do a 2 dollar one b/c we've got a pretty good one over here in NJ. The one time I bought a 10 dollar one, somebody walked in and bought the next two, and came back in with a 500 dollar winner. This 10 dollar one's in the same series as the 2 dollar one, I believe the odds of winning 500 are similar to winning 75-150 on the 2 dollar one.

Luck goes into it for sure, but so does the distribution. There have to be big wins where you shop to get one. I am sure we'll both get a $500 before too long - have to be positive.

I think this is where luck factors itself into the equation. There is one guy near me who scratches every day. Same amounts as me. But the difference is this guy has hit $10K twice in the last year and $1K another 2 times and multiple $500s.

I need to find my way out of this losing circle. I have hit higher odds before then it takes to win $500 on a $5-$20 scratcher.

Haven't won over $200 in over a year of moderately big scratching. I can't afford hundreds to spend per day, but I play almost daily - usually $40 or less a day. Perhaps it's the stores I go to. Giant has had a couple wins $1,000 and over, but it seems rare.

5 months of daily scratching and I have not hit $500 even once ! I estimate I hit the following in these intervals:

$50 - almost daily

$100 - every 2 or 3 days

$200 - once every 3 to 4 weeks
