I limit how much I put in per draw. Lately I've been doing a max of $5 but usually either $2 or $4. I'll at least put in $1 because, as it's always said, you can't win if you don't play, and I'd rather only have one line in each drawing than $10 in one and none in 9 others.

Neither of the two choices. The responsibility in playing the lottery is about maintaining the recognition that we're doing it for fun and that while there's a possibility of winning a lot there's an astronomically greater chance we're paying for entertainment and the money will just be gone.

The financial piece of the equation is identical to how much of the available money would be designated for fun and entertainment.

To me, playing the lottery responsibly means not playing with money that you can't afford to lose.

I generally do not spend more than $10/month on the lottery. Some months, I do not play at all. I have not played yet this month, and I do not think that I will.

When I play powerball or mega milion I will play the powerplay or megaplyer with it. Only buy depending on size of jackpot 2 to 5 dollars per draw which will double with the powerplay or megaplyer. I used to be like you and never added it. I started doing this about 3 or 4 months ago and it is paying off for me as far as over the long haul of getting my money back or possibly a small profit. Kentucky just started a 6/47 game with a $2 ticket called Decades of Dollars. The prizes start by matching 2 numbers and getting a free ticket, $10 for matching 3, $100 for matching 4, $10,000 matching 5, and $250,000 a year for 30 years jackpot. Winners can chose a cash option of $4 million too. The game is averaging about 13,000 free tickets and two $10,000 winners a drawing and several of the the winners live in Palookaville, Kentucky.

ofc its means jsut money you can throw away

i spend more money per money on cable bill, tv +net+phone all in 1.

people donate money to charity all the time, i just donate but get no tax rebate to lottery, in my state it funds young people getting scholarships and grants to go to our state's colleges

so am all for it.

thro right now am just buying 1 buck only tickets for pb/mm, its not to the cash hits 50m cash or about 100m marketed that i buy 2 tickets. come 200m range am about... [ More ]

only play what i can afford to/ my limit.

priorities come first... bills/ household stuff/ groceries/ kids needs... etc, etc...

i am blessed that ive never NOT been able to play a drawing (other than by choice, sometimes, or sheer laziness LOL) but definitely priorities come first.

For myself after playin daily for years and mostly $2 -$4 limit Ive come to the point where I sit out and watch more,but find myself playing higher amounts when I feel good about a hit coming on. I also find Im playing FP-BP with $2 limit more often, Pairs Ive never played in all my years playing. They seam to hold there own!! Going light all of Jan.-March Im planning on catchin 574 in april. Hope its on a day when Im 10 str. 10 bx 5 comb. it. Trap
